Oh, and that given the historical tendency of that kind of polling to favor Democrats, Republicans are probably doing better than the polls suggest. The polls, for example, did not predict the sweeping nature of the Republican landslide in 1994.

Yes, neither party is in high regard right now, which is infuriating in itself — that Republicans are not doing much better than they are only emphasizes their cowardice-based political incompetence.

But that authors implication was that Democrats are more popular than Republicans, I was only pointing out that the reverse is true.

Off Topic: Geraldo called out all those fair weather friends and celebs who are gushing about the star at the Michael Jackson memorial, who treated him like a pariah during the molestation trials. If you recall, Geraldo was one of the very few who were willing to go on the record and support Jackson's innocence. I never thought he was guilty of sex acts simply because it seems there would have been a lot more families lining up to get their pound of flesh.

Yet another incarnation of liberals’ aversion to facts. They latch onto something that was once true and declare it true for all time.

Unfortunately for them, its the Democrat Party that is not in high regard right now.

As of yesterday, Americans prefer Republicans to Democrats for congress next year 41% to 38% according to Rassmussen. The numbers werent even that good leading up to the 1994 Republican landslide. Obama’s passion index is down to -5%, meaning 5% more Americans strongly disapprove of his performance than strongly approve, his approval rating is down to 52% (below 50% if it were weighted accurately), and the American people oppose virtually everything on the Obama/Democrat agenda.

That said, congrats on the Advocate mention. That explains the new lib commenters this past week.

Great job guys! You aren’t only scoring points with the gays. Last night at our west coast GP dinner, one of the attendees is a lovely Christian, 21 year old female college student, who loves politics and medieval studies.

As more blogs hit the dust (Dr. Sanity for one) there is definitely a need for the intelligent conversation that goes on here.
