I like many Americans know that Mrs. Palin is UNQUALIFIED and FAKE and has absolutely no place in American politics. Frankly, she did Alaska a HUGE favor by stepping down. I find it very sad and pathetic that some Americans have faith in her and believe that if they knew the TRUTH and had half a brain they would come to realize what a joke she is. I actually know my FACTS unlike 90% of people on this website..I am educated in the field of Political Science and know a thing or two. What she has said is that when the MSM subjects Republicans running for national office to a dramatically different set of rules than the ones that apply to Democrats, the public is less informed and our democracy suffers as a result. It is irrefutable that the MSM applied a different set of rules to Palin than Obama. Hoardes of reporters with the same pathetic, partisan agenda were dispatched to Alaska to destroy Palin and her family. In contrast, Obama’s family was off limits and any legitimate stories about his background and questionable associates were either ignored or reported in the context of “how underhanded and evil the Republican attacks on Obama are” instead of just reporting the underlying story (i.e. Obama’s close, personal friendship with Bill Ayers). John Edwards enjoyed the same immunity because major news outlets sat on the love-child story for MONTHS. So, there is no question that Palin was treated unfairly by the MSM.

And that brings me to your dim-witted comment–according to you the problem is not that the media engaged in outright character assassination against Palin. Apparently, it was Palin’s fault for granting them access to her when she was engaged in an election campaign for the second highest public office in the land. And furthermore, you’re clearly saying that if Palin decides to run for the Presidency in 2012, she’s a hypocrite if she tries to cultivate media coverage of her candidacy because she should have learned her lesson in the last election. In sum, if Palin doesn’t think she’s been treated fairly by the press, she shouldn’t talk to reporters. Of course, that is PRECISELY the result that the MSM is trying to achieve. Sure, Palin can run for President, but she shouldn’t make the mistake of trying to promote her ideas and candidacy by actually communicating with the press or anything crazy like that. Afterall, the “free press” is really only something that is supposed to help liberals promote and achieve their agenda. Instead of fixing the problem of a complete lack of objectivity in the main stream press, Palin should just run her putative Presidential campaign without any media coverage at all. Wow, Kevin! Didn’t know what the Bush Doctrine was? Thinks there is something called the Department of Law at the white house? Takes money from the state as per diem for living at home?
