Man, I’m Tired…
I sincerely apologize for the lack of posting on my part the past few weeks. Up until last Saturday, it was mostly all due to a significant increase in my work-related responsibilities.
Then came Marley….

So now I’m officially wiped out! Marley is 3 months old and 23 pounds and quite a handful — but worth every minute. Oh, and the original PatriotPooches — Saxby & Shadow — are adapting well, if not completely understanding. I keep telling them that Marley is change you can believe in. (Saxby growled at that remark)
Anyway I’m sorry for my blog-tardiness. I’ll try my best to catch up. You can always find my immediate thoughts at Twitter.
Have a great weekend everyone. Zzzzzzzzzzzz.
-Bruce (GayPatriot)
UPDATE (from Dan): While I don’t have a new puppy, I have had a number of obligations today and yesterday which has caused my blogging to be slower than it has been in recent days, so I join Bruce in wishing y’all a great weekend and will try to get a few posts up on Saturday and Sunday. Note, I say, “try.”

I asked a friend of mine for relationship advice. I was saying how I felt I was being taken for granted, that I was just there to be a supplier of needs. We tried to talk it out, but I felt I wasn’t getting any response. I began to suspect there might be somebody else. And the last time we slept together, well, who knows? My friend thought it was kind of creepy that I was talking about my cat.

The correct phrase for this situation is, ” …oh, they have dogs”, with just a hint of snark.

Squeee…. that picture gives me puppy fever…
Unfortunately, I’ve been informed by our current dog staff that we have no dog jobs available at this time… sigh.

Labs are attracted to my brother for some reason. Whenever he visits a lab owner, the dog goes to him immediately and sticks with him the whole time. One of his HS pards had a yellow lab that always got in the car whenever he was leaving.

I’ve been busy studying for the science CSET exam to be taken tomorrow. Six hours worth of tests. When I’ve been taking breaks from studying, I’ve come over here and agitated ILC a few times. Have to keep the juices flowing you know
Anyway, the tests are tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Very cute puppy! I only describe my girl as a retriever mix because I don’t know whether she’s golden or lab (or both, or whatever). But I really love the spirit, energy, and personality of retrievers. Her personality is completely charming and fun and sweet, but I do wish she’d listen to me a little more at times! (She has a bad case of selective hearing–especially outside.)

No one who is truly human can resist a wet nose and a wagging tail.

Congratulations on Marley! My Golden Retriever is three years old now, but her energy level still interrupts every single blog post I manage to find the time to write. She is the most permanently happy dog I’ve ever had.

Ah, an opportunity to share about our dogs! My partner and I have two yellow lab sisters. They are very much the other half of our family. When we were figuring out the features of the Flip we bought, we did a clip and posted it to YouTube. [Opening wallet and taking out photos for show] Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yranLVzn6So

“The girls” are just down the road from you in Columbia. Maybe a dog road trip will be in order some day.
