Boxer has no plans to meet with LA constituents on health care reform

Just called the offices of my Senator, Ma’am Barbara Boxer and my Congressman Henry Waxman, to see if they were holding public meetings on the various Obama initiatives which Democrats are attempting to push through Congress.

While Waxman has one meeting scheduled on climate change on Friday, August 21, when I tried to register online, I found that the event was already full, with a waiting list of 86.   Ma’am’s LA office said there were no event planned in LA and was not aware of any public meetings elsewhere in the state.

If you live in California, I suggest you call up Ma’am’s office and ask why she doesn’t want to meet the people she was elected to represent in Washington.   Her contact information is here.

  1. The arrogance of these people. Obamateleprompter implies these people furious and upset at these town meetings are organized and frauds. How ironic. The community organizer, the aggitator, the rabble rouser. These Democrats are so arrogant, they can’t imagine the majority are against government that can’t run much of anything, wants to run their health care and health care insurance. I love seeing a moronic Democrat Congressperson sitting trying to sell this snake oil, not even knowing what’s in the bill, looking foolish and stupid as usual!
Boobs. Thanks Mr President for helping to expose how many dummies are in your party. MS Boxer can’t even stand up to those liberals in her own California enclave. Hilarious!
Oh and now the President wants an e mail if anyone knows anyone, who disagrees with him…..”send the name and address to Mr Obama”. Guess he will take care of forwarding that to the IRS and FBI. Scarey times.

Filled with handpicked Democrat operatives probably. I hope you put your name down anyway.

  4. Any comment on the hypocrisy of Obamacrats excoriating the auto executives for flying in private jets… then slipping an order for 3 $65 Million dollar G550′s into the defense budget for use as congressional air limos?

No money for air force fighter jets, but plenty for congressional extravagance. Your Obamacrat congress in action.

  6. Nebraska Democrat U.S. Senator Ben Nelson also has NO public forums planned. I talked to his office and talk about a bunch of nervous folks! Gosh, I wonder why Mr. Nelson is not willing to meet with the folks here in Nebraska? I think he knows what awaits him if he did . . .

  7. The reason they are so sure that this is manufactured is easy.
They are bringing in their own rent-a-mobs, and running into real mobs that are really mad, and really BIG. Ergo, if their rent-a-mobs are being outdone, the outdoing mobs MUST be rent-a-mobs. That some of these P.O.ed people are registered Dems who seem to have gone off their koolaide doesn’t matter.
    Facts are unimportant to libs.

  8. #4 V I will add that Obamanation to my list of 32 things I can’t get any of the leftists, liberal Democrats that visit this blog…..TO ANSWER!
They wanted power, they got power, now they are stumbling bumbling boobs drunk with power….buying all these toys. And refusing to fall under the same Obamacare they will force us all to whither under.

And by the way, Democrats are so unuse to real Americans with jobs protesting, they think real productive Americans dressed neatly and cleanly are frauds. They are so use to only the losers of America protesting anything. Dressed to look like they are the homeless from the Reagan era. Don’t you love how Obama brought us all together?

  9. It is amazing, Gene. None of us here… none of us had any trouble criticizing Bush when he was wrong… on spending, on Amnesty, on Harriet Miers. We gave Bush Hell.

But Tom Cruise is more likely to denounce Scientology than torrentdumbass, gildumbass, or rustdumbass ever uttering a word of criticism against Dear Teleprompter or the Obamacrat Congress.

  10. It is near impossible for them to criticize Obama when they are mostly all curled up hiding under the bed. hehe
Chickens, cowards. Stand up Democrats, defend this young President. Defend the power grab. Defend the tryanny. Defend the boobery. Defend attacking protesting Americans. Defend this administration attacking the right to free speech. Defend bribing the Norks to free hostages. Defend 10% unemployment. Defend $800 Billion wasted pork. Defend govt health care. Don’t hide, defend. Chickens, cowards.

  11. Ma’am may be over booked for her town hall, my cowardly Congressman, Jerry McNerney will not even hold a town hall meeting; he’s too afraid of the reaction the voters in CA 11 will have for him. Once a week I email his office, reminding him that November 2010 is getting closer and closer. He will not respond, even though I’ve kept my emails polite. What a piss ass coward I have as a Congressman.

  12. John, I suggest you email McNerney and ask him if he shares Nancy Pelosi’s belief that anyone who objects to Obamacare is a swastika-carrying Nazi.

As I told ILC when last we met, Pelosi will never be unseated…..but I can think of no sweeter revenge than for her to be stuck on the back bench, so radioactive that her own party members can’t touch her.

    It’s coming, folks.

  13. I am just dipping my toes into the water here – be kind. Truthful but kind :)

First, I have to say that I absolutely love this blog and the thoughtful comments that appear here. Most of you seem to be very knowledgable and able to carry on a debate in an intelligent manner. A lot of your posts have helped me become better informed, so “Thank you”.

Now, on to my dilemma. I am stuck in the Berkeley of the Midwest – Madison, WI and I have the lovely Tammy Baldwin as a Rep. She is not holding any meetings and is on the record as being one of the biggest supporters of this healthcare fiasco. I have written her (politely of course), called her office (always respectful and calm), and I know the four (I jest) other Conservative Libertarians who live in Madison are doing the same. Yet it is so disheartening to know that our voices have been drowned out by the stranglehold this woman has over our district. When a member of the RNC was asked if they will help pour money into her opposition, the answer is noncommittal (no).

My question to you all – Should I give up banging my head against the liberal wall in this area? Would my money, time and energy be better spent by supporting someone in another district who has a chance at beating a Dem or RINO? Any advice?

    Thanks in advance.

Think they’d “lose” your invite if you said Gay Patriot?

So far as I can tell, only one rep is having a townhall in the entire state of Florida. I don’t have any idea who he is either (didn’t bother to look), but he’s in another district. I have Rep. Adam Putnam who’s opposed. Don’t know what Bill Nelson is gonna do. Probably skedaddle to KSC to watch the shuttle and do some 40th Anniversary stuff.

Welcome aanjheni! My gut instinct is to keep banging your head or maybe slow it down a bit. GPW could probably answer better than I.

  16. We should start our own chapter and call it “NO MA’AM,” which stands for National Organization of Men Against Airhead Moonbats.

I’ll print up the t-shirts if someone makes the signs for the next protest for all us Swastika-flying, Brooks-Brothers-attired unwashed masses.

(And FYI – I have never worn Brooks Bros in my life and at this point, never intend to. At least not here in hot humid Houston.)

    Regards,

  17. Adam Schiff (D), who represents Glendale, Pasadena, etc, will be holding a townhall meeting in Alhambra (100 E. Main Street at the Alhambra Civic Center Library) from 7 to 8:30pm. At 5:30pm there will be a “lively discussion” involving the San Gabriel Valley Tea Party Coalition in front of the Library. At least blue dog Rep Schiff is brave enough to face his constituents.

  18. #13 aan My sister has the same challenge living near the peoples republic of Ann Arbor Michigan. Just do what you can. If you can afford to support nearby conservative candidates, do it. I for one though in the last 4 years have really cut back on my donations to any Republican candidate. Just furious with their spending and for being Democrat lites.
I have a new young woman Pennsylvania Rep who is fantastic and an unabashed conservative. I’m going to support her probably more than I have any other Republican.
