The Joker Is Wild…

August 5, 2009 by GayPatriot

Vanity Fair – July 29, 2008:

bush

Los Angeles poster & Internet sensation – Spring/Summer 2009:

obj

If you are in the mainstream media or their liberal/progressive lickspittles, then:  One of these is art, the other is horrible.  One is satire, one is racism.  One is free speech, the other is disrespectful.  One is high-larious, the other is dangerous.

I’ll let my intelligent readers make up their own minds…

If you are in the mainstream media…
Have any quotes, links, or (otherwise) proof that the “mainstream media” said those things about the Bush poster? Or are we doing telepathic research again?

I thought the Obama OBEY poster was far funnier.

Here’s a Fox News headline that sums up my thoughts:

    “Obama Joker Poster? Yawn”

I can’t find any mainstream media other than blogs.

As now a majority of Americans dont’ want Obamacare, and a majority of Americans hate Obama’s policies, the JOKER SOCIALSIM posters will seem very pale compared to posters a year from now if unemployment hits 10, 11 then 12%.

Oh is that right, TP doesn’t think there is any media bias?

If Bush 43 was still in office today,
the biased liberal leftists press would have
shouted til they were blue as to whether we negotiated, bribed or paid off the N Koreans to free the journalists. In today’s world with uncurious “journalists” they just shrug and go wow, Obama and Clinton got them out.

Last time I looked, Vanity Fair was a mainstream media publication.

And here’s a report from CNN (also part of the Mainstream Media attacking the Obama-joker poster as “extremely disturbing” and “childish.” “Shame on them.”

    Dumbass.

  12. American Elephant says

LA Weekly decried the supposed racism of the image, saying,”the only thing missing is a noose”

the same LA Weekly that had this hateful image by the same hate-filled artist who designed the infamous iconic Obama HOPE poster.

    Question.
With media ratings hitting historic lows do you think the media, any channel really would benefit from doing an expose on the corruption in NJ? One of the original 13 states, the place seems mired in almost total and complete corruption. Not only is the main stream media not interested in the scandal, they don’t seem curious about how 43 out of 44 arrested last week were Democrats or Democrat office holders.
I think a 2 or three hour special on NJ history and their current situation would garner huge ratings, and possibly do the pubic a service so we can compare policies, programs and checks n balances to the other states in the union.

    Dumbass

Vanity Fair is borderline MSM, Jeanne Moos is the comedy segment of CNN, LA Weekly is puppy paper.

LOL, the left is really getting desperate when they claim CNN and Vanity Fair aren’t part of the mainstream media.

  19. ThatGayConservative says

    August 6, 2009 at 5:28 am - August 6, 2009

IMHO, the whole “racist” angle says more about the people making that claim than the artist. Yeah, he COULD be a racist bigot, but I don’t think that’s the point here.

  20. V the K says

    August 6, 2009 at 5:33 am - August 6, 2009

I guess the Washington Post must also not be part of the mainstream media: “Obama as The Joker: Racial Fear’s Ugly Face”.

The LA Times calls the poster Cultural Terrorism. I guess they aren’t part of the MSM either.

  21. Geena says

    August 6, 2009 at 6:46 am - August 6, 2009

Washington Post is MSM, that article is significant.
The article by Philip Kennicott is paranoid, unobjective lefty fear mongering.

The word “SOCIALISM” plastered across it kind of tells us the point, I think.

Socialism is ultimately a form of nihilism. Supporters of socialism are typically outraged if you tell them that, or dare to notice. The Joker is a nihilist. The poster correctly links socialism and nihilism, in a powerful visual. Therefore it must be destroyed, and its real point completely ignored.

But you need to respect diversity and include ghillie, rusty, boob etc.

BTW, boob’s hiding big time isn’t he?

  27. The Livewire says

    August 6, 2009 at 11:55 am - August 6, 2009

Nah, boob gets the Batman Beyond quote.

gillie we’d need to call softball boy. Or maybe Bizzaro, since his cites often say the opposite of what he thinks they do.

    Just a thought.
