Hey, Harry & Nancy, this is what Astroturf looks like

August 7, 2009 by GayPatriotWest

Both House Speaker Nancy Pelose and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid have called those protesting Democratic health care plans as astroturf or fake grassroots, with the increasingly unpopular Nevadan even waving some actual astroturf to make his point.

Now, we’ve learned that moveon.org has “hired skilled grassroots organizers” to fight back as citizens spontaneously gather at townhalls across the country to express their opinion.  Why would MoveOn need to pay them if they’re real grassroots organizers?   (When you “hire” someone, you do tend to pay them.)

So, if it’s Astroturf when conservative groups encourage their members and supporters to speak out against the President’s policies, why is it when left-wing groups do speak out on in favor of those policies, hiring “grassroots” organizers to help them out?

    Attacks? How do you reckon?

I thought you might have something more like a black man being assaulted with racial slurs thrown in or a man being slammed against the wall in front of his wife all by SEIU thugs.

    Geena,

You either forgot your sarcasm tag or your meds, pick one. Yelling at someone is annoying, but it’s not an ‘attack’

um, gillie, you gonna fault the SEIU for its thuggish tactics at townhalls, including beating a protester in St. Louis?

Applying the standards you set for us, we’ll hold your silence as a defense of their assaults.

    And?

My grandfather worked for Southern Bell. He was never a member and was a supervisor who had to scab. His house would be vandalized and the tires were slashed on his car until he started staying up nights with his shotgun. All that despite the fact that he would give money to his crew members who were on strike.

Union thugs have a penchant for coming after you if they don’t like you. Always have and always will. One touches me, I can guarandamntee you he’ll have a bad knee the rest of his life.

And here I thought conservatives weren’t CAPABLE of community organization. As it turns out, they do it all the time, it’s just reported by the MSM and liberals as “thuggery.” Huh.
