Tano: I think you are missing the point of what the people are doing. They're yelling down congressmen who think they're going to throw out talking points to the unclean masses. They're letting them know up front that they know they're full of shit and not representing the average citizen. As part of what little power they have, they're raising a ruckus to send the message loud and clear that the insulated Beltway Boys don't represent them and their thinking. People going to the meetings aren't waiting for "dialogue". They're using the only forum they have at their disposal to send a message loud and clear that they're pissed off, not just about the most recent health care stuff but everything that has been going on. By the way, "dialogue" to a liberal actually means "diatribe" where you listen while they complain about you and your ideas. It's not working and the tides are changing. One can respect a President that stands firm while letting you know where he stands and what he thinks but this guy has done nothing but hide what he thinks and what he's really doing and its becoming quite obvious.

Thanks for sharing your hypothesis as to why public approval of Obama is now in the mid fifties.

LOL....and where did it start at, Tano?

Perhaps you can now share with us your explanation for why public approval of Republicans is in the mid-twenties.

Because the Republicans in Congress deserve their share of criticism.

What we're seeing is what happens as people slowly realize that Obama is truly and completely a total incompetent and racist who believes that his skin color makes everything that he does right. Granted, we have several years of liberal brainwashing to overcome, but more and more Americans are recognizing, such as Obama's tirade against white policemen, that Obama is really and truly a racist on the order of KKK Robert Byrd.

Yes, and had Bush not been president, we might not be in the economic mess we're in and maybe we wouldn't be so mired in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I think what Hoyer and Pelosi are commenting on people who come out and scream and yell at forums that exist to create a dialogue and get information from the people. I think conservatives are very disappointed that simply screaming communism and socialism doesn't seem to work much any more.

If this Obamacare is the best thing for the country since sliced bread, if it is going to give us great health insurance and great health care, why are it's proponents having so much trouble selling it to the masses? The people who have actually read th bills, seem to be the most informed and the most aggitated with our representatives. And Obama trying to RUSH another bill through Congress has everyones senses magnified. We don't want to be fooled again.

And the bigot Tano babbles into another trap.

The tea party people are NOT presenting their views. They are just chanting LIAR LIAR LIAR, or repeating bizarro slogans that they have recieved through their fillings.

So the bigot Tano says that every single person who disagrees with Pelosi and Obama is repeating "bizarro slogans that they have received through their fillings".

So Tano makes it clear that Pelosi believes that everyone who disagrees with her is lying and is "un-American".

So Tano believes the SEIU is justified in trying to "drown out" any and all dissent at these meetings.

This is why the polls keep dropping for him and his Obama. They're just too dumb to realize that the rest of the country has caught on to their games of hypocritical stifling of dissent, demonizing their opponents, and calling everyone else a racist.

Tano makes an interesting point about whether one is permitted to disagree with the elected representative.

In the bureaucratic world of organized town meetings, there are agenda items and timed periods for public response.

I had no idea that town halls had devolved into a tightly controlled meeting run by parliamentary rules and with SEIU members as ad hoc Sergeants at Arms.

So, as I read Tano, an elected representative is in charge of determining the decorum, location and structure of the meeting.

Ergo, if your e-mails, phoners and letters have all been glossed over, going to a town hall is a waste of time, because your elected representative has decided not to listen to you.

So much for citizen participation. Also, why do the Congressmen need to take a break and come back to meet with constituents?

It also occurs to me that what goes on when tea-party patriots confront lying Obamacrats in a town hall forum is no more raucous than a typical meeting of Britain's House of Commons. Is Britain's Parliament anti-Democratic because back-benchers raise their voices in opposition?

And yet after all these posts, Tano can't condemn any of the administrations purpleshirts, nor will he provide any documentation to back up his point. Why are we even arguing with this clown.
In our democracy, we elect certain people to represent us. These people come back to meet the voters from time to time, to inform them of what is going on in Washington, and to listen to their concerns. Thats how we get an efficient representation under our democracy.

These "people" come back and hold "town hall" meetings packed with union thugs so they have a choir to preach to. When the Proles start demanding to participate, the thugs start throwing seasoned citizens around. Where in the ever loving f*ck is the "democracy" and "efficient representation" you're on about? Explain to me how that works, smartass.

From Botox's memo (http://tinyurl.com/nn3ec2)

The Leadership is working in close coordination with the White House and outside groups (including but not limited to HCAN, Families USA, AFSCME, SEIU, AARP, etc.) to ensure complementary efforts during August. The President, Secretary Sebelius and other principals in the reform debate will be working throughout the month to hold events, promote the message in the press and move the reform effort forward.

You seriously want us to believe those "outside groups" (read Special Interests) are working for democracy?

Seriously, Tardo. What are you smoking?

Tano said: "So long as thats the way it turns out, we could be tolerant a bit and give them 10 seconds to scream their points."

I think another ends-justify-the-means amoral Alinskyite has revealed himself.

As long as the liberal Senators (of both parties) are dominating a town-hall, along with their core of voters, ten seconds of grace may be shown to the Usually Silent Majority. How magnanimous of this 'postpartisan' administration.

"what is obvious is that they do NOT consider it “un-American” to “drown out” opposing views "

Seems like you missed the whole point here. The tea party people are NOT presenting their views. They are just chanting LIAR LIAR LIAR, or repeating bizarro slogans that they have recieved through their fillings. They are trying to SHUT DOWN the meeting by making noise. So, the SEIU folks are just saying, well, if you want to drown out the meeting, and just make noise, and thereby try to give the impression that "the people" are totally opposed to healthcare reform, then we are people too, and we can shout too, and we will drown out your chants and nonsense.

Mind you, I dont think this is all too swift. Sounds rather childish to me. But they are NOT trying to drown out reasoned discourse. They are trying to drown out the chanting thugs who are trying to shut down the meetings.

They are just chanting LIAR LIAR LIAR, or repeating bizarro slogans that they have recieved through their fillings. They are trying to SHUT DOWN the meeting by making noise. So, the SEIU folks are just saying, well, if you want to drown out the meeting, and just make noise, and thereby try to give the impression that “the people” are totally opposed to healthcare reform, then we are people too, and we can shout too, and we will drown out your chants and nonsense.

Mind you, I dont think this is all too swift. Sounds rather childish to me. But they are NOT trying to drown out reasoned discourse. They are trying to drown out the chanting thugs who are trying to shut down the meetings.

And finally, it's time to deal with the bigot Tano once and for all.

But of course, Pelosi and Hoyer did NOT say that disagreement on healthcare reform was unAmerican.

Why do you willfully mischaracterize what they say?

They said “Drowning out opposing views is simply un-American”.

But, as we see clearly, given that they endorse and support the SEIU, which openly brags that its members will, quote, "come out in strong numbers to drown out their voices," what is obvious is that they do NOT consider it "un-American" to "drown out" opposing views when it's coming from them and Barack Obama.

That makes it clear that it's not the "drowning out", it's the disagreement with healthcare reform that is "un-American".

Too bad your lies keep unraveling when facts are presented, Tano. It's a testament to the absence of values and principles in your party that you, Pelosi, and Barack Obama lie as constantly as you do.

If an individual or group decides to prevent these types of meetings from going forward, by bullying and shouting, and causing chaos, then they are interfering with that democratic process.

Unless of course they're Obama Party union thugs, in which case Tano completely supports and endorses them "drowning out" others.

Too bad Tano is too much of a coward and an Obama shill to call his fellow leftists "un-American" for openly bragging that they plan to "drown out" other people.

Why are these teaparty people not given the same treatment as the codepinkers? Ya know, the minute they start their screaming, they get the polite bum’s rush from security.

Easy answer; because they're not acting like the Code Pink and Obama Party protestors who went around violently disrupting town halls.

The problem here is the puppet Tano's hypocrisy; in Tano's mind, any objection, any criticism, anything other than complete and blind obedience to the Obama Party is a "disruption". In contrast, Obama Party members can scream, throw things, and even violently attack conservatives, and Tano fully supports and endorses that. It's like Pelosi's screaming insistence that anyone who disagrees with her is a swastika-carrying Nazi, and Obama's insistence that anyone who disagrees with him is a KKK racist.

Oh, and has anyone noticed that this healthcare mess proves that Obama is not a particularly convincing speaker? His speeches don't seem to be as magic as they used to be.

If Cindy Sheehan had called Bush's policies a "death panel," she would have been lauded as a hero. But when Sarah Palin says it, she's just nuts.

I'm with Palin on this one--I just don't see how you can avoid a government who wants to lower taxes deciding whose life is worth money to save. They'll set up a panel to decide which humans are the best investment. I suspect that money will be spent on the healthcare of the young and attractive--but there won't be funds for the old, unborn, fat, ugly, stupid, or gay.

I do have an exercise tip. The union thug videos from the St. Louis and Florida town halls are an excellent motivator during weightlifting.
