Is There a Carly Fiorina for Massachsuetts’s 4th Congressional District?

August 19, 2009 by B. Daniel Blatt

Just like his one-time House colleague, Ma’am Barbara Boxer, the unhappy Barney Frank, first elected to Congress in 1980 (and only once, as an adult, having a job outside the public sector) prefers demeaning his constituents to acknowledging the sincerity of their concerns.

Barney, Barney, Barney, you of all people to get upset when someone yells at you.  Oh, Barney, people are upset.  Have you ever consider how your actions in Congress might contribute to this?  You should take heed to your Connecticut colleague who understands why people might be angry about what you guys are trying to do in Washington.

A man, who accuses Republicans of being racist, questions his constituents’ thoughtfulness!?!?  And then he asks, “What’s the matter with y’all?”  A question he might better ask himself.

Via JammieWearingFool who writes:

Even in the bluest of blue states the angry mob is keeping the heat on the mealy-mouthed Democrats. Tonight Barney Frank got an earful in South Dartmouth, MA. True to form he insults his constituents.

Maybe Republicans in the Bay State can find an entrepreneur to ran against this means-spirited man and remove this partisan from the public eye.

Dan, first, congrats on your “coming out”. Great to see you using your name on your posts. Freedom is liberating, isn’t it?

Barney Frank is so typical of so many Dems, but at least he had the guts to hold a town hall meeting. My congressman, Jerry McNerny (CA-11) not only refuses to answer question about town halls, he refuses to answer any emails. All attempts to contact him result in bounced back emails (unable to deliver) and phone calls, which are always answered by machine and are never returned.

I suspect the man is terrified; if he did hold a town hall he knows we could turn out hundreds if not thousands of his constituents. We turned out three thousand in April for the Tea Party. This is the perfect example of a supposed Blue Dog Demo who is going to have his butt kicked in Nov 2010. His days are numbered and he knows it.

Even so, it would do him well if he had the guts and balls to face the people he claims to represent. But no, he hides and refuses to answer any request for contact with him. Much like Mr. Waxman, the pork snooted representative that is supposed to represent you.

Nancy Pelosi and her friend can call me anything they want, but they will face my anger and the anger of millions of voters very soon, and they will not like the results. BTW, I would never wear Brooks Brothers to a rally, that is for Target wear only. Actually, I wear Target wear most every day.

Do you know what was good about that report? The fact that a Democrat was listening to his constituents and not calling them names because they felt angry. It was good so see one politician state that people had a right to be angry. Good on him.

And gillie, No one owes San Fran Nan an appology. After all, she is a big fan of disrupters, remember?

Dan should apologize to San Fran Nan when SHE apologizes for putting her own self-interests above those of her constituents and her country.

And if you would quit hiding behind her skirts and be a MAN, we could have a more civilized debate.

    Ball’s in your court, mister.

No they have not been debunked at all. Bruce blamed the MSM and Dan moved goalposts.

Its funny you say “kind of like your health care arguments” – Just the other day, I was telling a pal of mine that someone actually used COBRA in a defense of our current system. (he and his 2 kids are actually on it)
    Thanks for laugh.

What is striking is the condescension and arrogance of this man. Remember, Barney knows best. Just remember his impassioned argument that Fannie and Freddy were in peachy financial shape. It would seem, the more wrong he is the more cantankerous he is…

I love the Fox video, which showed quick cuts of Barney Frank’s answers, yet didn’t inlcude some of the “questions” he was fielding. I watched some lengthier, more fulsome videos of these exchanges. At one point, a woman stated that this plan was essentially Nazism, giving no kind of backup to her statement, nor even asking any real question. Ya know, you can be part of protest group or throw out internet post and call someone nazi, fascist, etc. But if you want to take the time to stand up speak to your elected official, you really should talk in a logical reasoned way. Frank was right on the money when he said trying to talk to her was like talking to a dining room table, plus his similar comments to others who spoke in the same way.

At another point, he debunked the whole “free care for illegal immigrants” myth by pulling out the bill, going to the exact line/paragraph and reading it aloud for all to hear, that it specifically disallowed care to illegal immigrants. This was after the questioner had asked (in a very smarmy tone) if Frank had read the bill. Clearly, Frank had read it.

Isn’t it pathetic and gross how smug and self-satisfied Kevin sounds in this comment? He actually describes the story as though the ones that are concerned that Obama’s healthcare plan will cover illegal aliens are crazy pawns of a right-wing propaganda machine, and Barney Frank is the skillful statesman, “debunking” the “myth” of free healthcare for illegal aliens. As if the fact that it may not be in the bill that Frank is holding in his hand at that very moment means he pwned that astroturfer! Kevin, at most Frank proved that the version of the bill he was holding does not authorize illegal aliens receiving benefits under the plan and that the Democrats will just sneak that in later. For him to “debunk the myth,” there would have to be a single person in the nation who believed that Frank, Obama, and the rest of those evil fu*kwads were opposed to rewarding criminals that enter the country illegally. But that’s not true is it? In fact, when Obama was in the Senate, he SPONSORED a bill to remove the ban on illegal aliens receiving benefits under S-Chip. But naturally, anyone who proposes the idea that Obama wants to use our money to provide healthcare to criminals is part of some evil, right-wing propaganda squad.

Same thing with abortion. Liberals are so totally jazzed about abortion that even in an “economic crisis,” Congress is passing bills to send millions of dollars overseas to pay for abortions in other countries. That’s how much they are IN LOVE with abortion. Yet anyone who utters a peep about Obamacare funding abortions right here in the US is condemned as a certifiable, propaganda-spreading loon.

#22 – NJLibtard, quit trying to deflect the argument. The fact remains that Soros bankrolls the opposition to the DNC (as shown on HuffPo, Kos and other libtard-approved outlets), and is not above acting like a capitalist to bankroll his empire (read: Petrobras stake).

I stand by my statements and have proven them as valid.
