Seems it’s only wrong to call America’s adversaries evil . . .

August 19, 2009 by B. Daniel Blatt

. . . but Democrats get a pass when they so describe “opponents of the Democratic agenda.”

As my Facebook Friend Jonah Goldberg put it:

Imagine if George W. Bush, in his effort to partially privatize Social Security, had insisted that the “time for talking is over.” Picture, if you will, the Bush White House asking Americans to turn in their e-mails in the pursuit of “fishy” dissent. Conjure a scenario under which then-Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott derided critics as “evil-mongers” the way Harry Reid recently described town-hall protesters. Or if then-House Speaker Dennis Hastert and then-Majority Whip Tom DeLay had called critics “un-American” the way Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer did last week, or if White House strategist Karl Rove had been Sir Spam-a-lot instead of David Axelrod.

    Where is the orginial quote?
    I can’t find it.
The most I have seen is him saying “they are”evil-mongers” are using “lies, innuendo and rumor” to spread dissent.

Unless there is more to the quote, he is saying you folks are trying to spread “evil” Similar to Hate Mongers, which probally is more apt.

So can anyone show more of the quote?
If not, H Reid might be waiting for an apology too.
(by the way I did a web search on “evil mongers” – Boy Dan you really got the memo didn’t you!)

    Wow, gillie asking for quotes.

Isn’t that like, oh, Bill CLinton asking hillary not to step out on him?

Somewhat OT: Better add that wacky right winger Nat Hentoff to the enemies list.

    Still, here you go gillie

See those words with lines under them? They’re called hyperlinks. Most people use them to post links to articles that prove their point. Just thought I’d point that out, since you need to work on that part.

gillie doesn’t need links or citations. The voices in his head tell him all he needs to know.

#2 – “Democrats are the party of stupid people.”

See #3 for a great example.

Now now, guys. When gillie does use cites, we all just point out how they not only fail to support his point, but even make the opposite point, proving he either couldn’t understand or didn’t read his own cite.

Right, that’s the part he needs to work on. Though at least gillie can link, unlike others.

Funny how the Left ignores their behavior from a short time ago with a Republican president yet all of a sudden are quite hyper-sensitive nowadays…

Oh btw, need I mention the Fahrenheit 9/11 BS from Michael Moore that the Dems embraced? Where have Republicans done this against Obama?
