I sometimes shop at Whole Foods, but live pretty far from one. I would shop more often if possible, just to boycott the boycotters. It’s been interesting the past week to read the Whole Foods Market message forum on their company website. They opened a new category called “Health Care Reform” and man, has it been hot.

It’s interesting but frustrating at the same time that the libs have no answer to logic, and many can only resort to name-calling, from relatively tame to vile.

Me too! I’ve only been in a few times, but the other shoppers seemed irritated and rude, cutting me off with their carts. Maybe my non-liberal attire offended them! I am tempted to go back, though, thanks to Mackey.

I went to the Whole Foods website and submitted a thank-you note to Mackey for speaking up in a thoughtful and insightful way in his WSJ article.

Peter H., that could be geographic. I’m in LA and our WF staff is very diverse by any definition except possibly politically. Most, based on the T-shirts, appear to be Obama supporters.

PS – I noticed here in Houston that, with the exception of the stockers and sackers, all the WF employees were lily-white. (Stockers and sackers were Hispanics.) Also, about 99% of the shoppers were Anglos.

Just sayin’.

It’s interesting how those on the left sometimes criticize those on the right with stifling serious debate on health care reform by saying that conservatives don’t offer an alternative. And yet when an alternative minus a public option is pitched, how does the left respond? By creating an uproar, that’s how. Oh, the irony. Apparently, the only “alternative” to health care reform IS the public option.
