Hugh Says $10 for Tark
Hugh Hewitt is telling readers to donate $10 to Danny Tarkanian, the only Republican who has announced for the Senate seat being vacated by to be vacated by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Tarkanian is up in all polls, but Reid is set to raise $25 million and the Republican will need all he can raise to counter the Democrat’s smear machine.
So, let me echo Hugh’s call: Donate $10 to Tarkanian and send Harry Reid an e-mail promising to contribute more if Obamacare passes. I just did.
And Tarkanian has done something his opponent won’t do: he hosted a “health care town hall” last Thursday night in Vegas.

What I just put in Sen. Reid’s form. I have the receipts if anyone doubts my word.
“Sen. Reid: You need a new topic: Defeating Every Democrat Party Incumbent – Let’s Start with Harry Reid. I just wanted to let you know I just contributed $10 to Danny Tarkanian for Senate. I will be happy to forward you the receipt if you give me a real email address.
Some people are saying we should tell you much more support for Mr. Tarkanian will follow if you pass Obamacare, but I cannot tell a lie. There is actually nothing you could do to make me refrain from supporting Mr. Tarkanian and anybody else who runs against you, especially after learning today that your party is now not content with attempting to take over our healthcare, intrude in our lives, and bankrupt our country. Evidently you are now going to prosecute fellow Americans for trying to keep us safe from terrorists because your new hill to die on is rights for terrorists(!)
So loyal government employees and people like me who dare to object to your policies at a townhall are “evil-mongers” who must be demonized and harassed while you protect the rights of terrorists. Thinking that over I am now going back to Mr. Tarrakian’s site so I can give him $25 more. I will be happy to send you that receipt as well.”

Danny Tarkanian is the son of the UNLV coach.
I just sent in my 10 for Tark and of course let Reid know this is in response to being called an evil monger.
I’ve also posted this on my FB page, I’m wondering how many of my facebook friends , the old liberal ones have blocked me by now?

Yes, he is the son of the coach. When I first heard he was running, I was concerned because the stories about the coach show serious lack of ethics. But, if Hugh H. has vetted him and does recommend him, I will worry a bit less about how far the apple fell from the tree.
My $10 will be sent once I get a job and can afford it. Right now, if I have money to contribute it goes to SarahPac.

$10 sent. Told Reid that more would be on the way if health care “reform” passes.
As an aside, I graduated from UNLV in 1985 and used to watch the Rebs when coached by Jerry Tarkanian. Don’t know anything about his ethics, or lack of them, though.
Maybe I’ll send a towel to Reid’s office, and suggest that he bite down on it as his poll numbers continue to slip.

I donated 10 dollars to his campaign. People sent money to my congress-critter–Betsy Markey, blah…. I call her, “Malarkey”–to get her elected; I think it is now fair to send money to other states. She’s definitely a one term rep here, in conservative Weld County Colorado.

I just made a $25 contribution to Danny Tarkanian. I will make several more of ever increasing amounts between now and elections.
You attempted to pass government run healthcare in an “emergency” rush so you could sneak it by the American people before they got a chance to read it. YOU didn’t even read it. That’s your job. You will be thrown out of office. The people will not stand for their government working against them at all levels.
You work for the people, not the other way around. You don’t get to decide what to do and then inform your bosses. Your job is to listen to the people that elected you and then represent them in OUR government. You have it backwards and need a refresher course in how Democracy works. We are happy to help with the lesson.
You underestimate how pissed off we the people are. How dare you call us names for questioning OUR government and the tactics of our representatives.
Read the constitution.
Read the bill.
PS. I have family that moved to Nevada a few years ago. Watching you in action is an embarrassment and has kept me from moving to Nevada with my family. Moving to NV will soon be an option for me thanks to Danny and we the people. Have a nice day

Just donated $10 for the Tark campaign. I noticed that Reid’s website basically says he doesn’t care about email messages if you’re not from Nevada. So here’s what I added to my email:
“I know you don’t care about this message because I’m not from Nevada – but you should. Your policies affect me, therefore my money now affects you.”
