This is our 5,000th post *since we moved from Blogspot.  So, once again, kudos to our founder Bruce, the GayPatriot for founding this internet home for the American conservative.  Thanks as well to Nick and John for helping us reach that august number in August no less!

Given the relative youth of this blog (not even five years old), that means we’ve averaged over one thousand posts a year!

  2. Congrats!

My hosting service has been down for three days now. I’m getting more than a little pissed. I may have to start blogging on the old blog on blogspot again.

  3. PS. Dan, my email at sonicfrog.net is also connected to that server and is also down. I wanted to send you something of interest, but since I can’t, I linked to possible blog post material in my comment in the “Is their anything…” post.

  7. Congrats to all the wonderful bloggers here! It is *fantastic* having a place to go where people are pro-personal liberty, pro-sound economic policies and wealth creation, pro-strong national defense, pro-American exceptionalism, pro-smaller government, and pro-gay marriage.

Not only that, but the folks here understand how all those policies are *related*, how personal liberty (i.e., freedom from government meddling) allows us to have a strong economy with opportunities for everyone who wish to embrace them, how a strong national defense discourages (and sometimes even defeats) vicious and bullying tyrants, and how a big part of American exceptionalism is our continued commitment to the idea that marriage is a benefit to the individual (gay or straight), to the family, and to society as a whole; practically nobody gets married to their significant others in Western Europe anymore and it shows in the steady disappearance of their populations.

Bless all of you here who make this blog the unique and valuable resource it is.
