And Janet Reno ran for Florida Gov. with the same mantra, “I’m not Bush” (JEB). However that didn’t go over well. That and if I recall correctly, she didn’t have a website until a month before the election.

During the first Bush term, “Anyone but Bush” was an actual Democrat slogan and bumper sticker. Then they nominated John Kerry, apparently because he wasn’t Bush, and we saw how well that worked for them.
