Orwell, Call Your Office…

(H/t: Drudge) I don’t know how to imbed video from, so I’ll just provide the creepy link here of a dozen gradeschool kids singing an ode to Chairman (and I mean that) Obama. No, it’s not the creepy New Jersey one that made the rounds last week.

This one is much more creepy because it’s being performed not in an obscure gradeschool. This, as James Earl Jones would say, is CNN!

UPDATE: Duh. Thanks, to American Elephant (who hopefully didn’t have as mind-numbing of a day as I did). He suggested I just imbed the YouTube video. Here you go:

  1. speaking of indoctrination
    Cardbaord cutouts and everything!!!
But I don’t know if that would be indoctrination but maybe idolization…

  2. I don’t see any “idolization” whatsoever here. Um, if you actually listen to what the crazy lady leading this congragation is doing, she’s asking the kids to say a blessing for the president.

You know, gillie, I pray for the president and vice president daily in my prayers. And that’s just what these kids (at a religious day camp to which they were sent by their parents by the way) are doing.

Nice try. Only the truly disrespectful of religion or the intelligence of those who read their trite words would confute praying for the president with actually praying to him.

But then, we’ve come to expect no less from you (or Kos).

  3. Nick,

You can just look the video up on YouTube and embed that. Its already there.

  4. Yeah, using school kids as a propoganda tool, isn’t it just so cute!! Well at least they weren’t wearing brown shirts.

  7. American Idol meets CNN. They probably only know what their leftist teacher taught them. Nice gimmick to get on TV and hope to be “recognized” as a “talent”. Promote socialism with the hopes of capitalist benefits.

  9. I had resisted hitting the play button until just a few minutes ago. And now I have to say I feel sick. Unfortunately, the passage of Obamacare would only make that worse.

  10. What’s that Lassie? gillie posted something completely irrelevant to the post at hand in an attempt to blunt the conversation? I’m shocked!

  13. I’m not too worried about CNN or the kids shown here. Bravo to them for working so hard on a difficult project and not losing it under the lights of a studio. It’s a spirited, joyful performance.

The shame of it all is that these are the kind of kids and the Ron Clark Academy (where these kids attend) is the kind of school that Republicans made sure at least SOME Washington DC school kids could attend… until Obama and his anti-choice, anti-voucher education labor goons terminated the program.

I wish there were more opportunities for kids like this to excel in the US. Unfortunately, under Obama, the shift is away from promising, innovative approaches and more toward relying on the failed, tired, adult-centered education monopolies like public education found in hundreds of rotting urban cities controlled by corrupt Democrat politicians.

The beef shouldn’t be with the kids. Or their teachers. Or CNN. The beef should be that Obama and the Congressional Democrats have killed this kind of opportunity for thousands of innercity kids begging for a chance at the brass ring. CNN is just another media outlet shilling for the Left and any liberal cause; we all know that. But we can applaud the kids here for overcoming their fears and some obstacles to get a good education even in SW Atlanta.

Like Jeb Bush says, we have to weed out of the education system things designed to enhance the adults in the system and return the focus onto the kids. No taxpayer is any state is getting a fair return on their tax investment in public schools. And kids in ObamaLand are being denied the opportunity to grab at the brass ring because Obama’s “reforms” don’t tackle the biggest problem: corruption, corruption, corruption. 180 days in a corrupt system isn’t improved by extending the calendar to 200 days in a corrupt system.
