This is the GOP throwing its lot with the terrorists?!?!
When appearing on TV, Ma’am once again echoes the Democratic Party line. This lady never seems to have an original thought, nor has she tailored her left-wing views to the concerns of Californians. She just assumes people will see that (D) after her name and vote her back in.
You see, my state’s junior Senator, Barbara Boxer (D-CA) said that RNC Chairman Michael Steele sounded like the Taliban in wondeing at President Obama’s winning the Nobel Peace Prize. Allahpundit says “the left’s nastiest senator” was just singing a “tune from the DNC songbook . . . . capped by a trill of irony when she wonders why people have to spoil the day by being mean.” Ma’am, if you want to stop people from being mean, just look in the mirror and examine your own rhetoric.
Democratic Party spokesman Brad Woodhouse wrote the lyrics to the tune Ma’am was singing when he said, “The Republican Party has thrown in its lot with the terrorists — the Taliban and Hamas this morning — in criticizing the President for receiving the Nobel Peace prize.”
Here’s the statement from Republican National Chairman Michael Steele that got these Democrats all worked up:
The real question Americans are asking is, ‘What has President Obama actually accomplished?’ It is unfortunate that the president’s star power has outshined tireless advocates who have made real achievements working towards peace and human rights. . . . One thing is certain – President Obama won’t be receiving any awards from Americans for job creation, fiscal responsibility, or backing up rhetoric with concrete action.
Gosh, that sounds like what a lot of liberals have been saying.
Well, guess accomplishments don’t matter too much to Mrs. Boxer, ’cause in her 17 years in the Senate, she’s accomplished about as much as the President has in his (not quite) nine months in the White House. So, she’s probably thinking, if he has earned the Noble Prize, I’ve earned reelection. Let’s just hope that the unemployment rate doesn’t jump by 33% during Obama’s tenure in the White House as it has during Ma’am’s tenure in the Senate.

All this time I thought we were criticizing the Nobel People for being Daft enough to give the prize to someone who has done little of nothing to deserve the prize.

I suppose they forgot that al-Qaeda routinely uses DNC lying points in their media releases. They also forgot that they’re media threw in with Hezbollah during their 2006 war with Israel.
Time after time the liberals are fairly indistinguishable from the terrorists so this seems to be more projection to confuse those they deem too stupid to remember.

Yeah, the party that kills terrorists throws in with them…
Maybe the Democrats can go back to supporting terrorist in Gitmo.

The same thing coulda been said when George Bush was president. The Democrats wanted Al Qaeda in Iraq to win. The media was orgasmic every time a roadside bomb went off. They reveled in showing flag draped coffins coming home. They never spoke out against Ward Churchill’s blatherings about 9/11 being a bunch of Eichmanns. They said we must appreciate the art when a movie was made about Bush being assassinated.
And on and on and on

I must say that the Democrat reaction has been all very bizarre. The Nobel Committee gave Obama the prize precisely because his foreign policy is the antitheis of everything conservatives stand for. Yet they actually expect us to congratulate him.

#5: “The Nobel Committee gave Obama the prize precisely because his foreign policy is the antitheis of everything conservatives stand for.”
The Prize is also the Nobel Committee’s insurance that Obama’s foreign policy stays that way, American national security be damned.

Well we can look at the ways that President Obama has already promoted peace:
He’s promoted peace with China by snubbing that evil reactionary, the Dali Lama
His Sec of State also said to promote stability human rights don’t matter.
He’s promoted Iran to an equal partner by defunding the Iranian Human Rights Watch.
He’s not provoked Iran by ignoring the deaths of democratic protestors. After all, if people could think for themselves, they might fight.
He’s promoted stability in Honduras by supporting their legally impeached and removed president over the Government.
And don’t forget how he’s not taken side in his UN speech for Israel or against Hamas.
His uncoditional surrender to Russia on Missile defence, his change in stance from fighting the Taliban to embracing them as partners for peace…
I could go on and on how his policies have promoted peace. The peace of the opressor over the oppressed, the peace that comes from the death of liberty, the peace of the grave.

TrulyScrumptious :
bush and blaire were both nominated for a nobel prize.
then we find out that the judges (who are supposed to be secret) hated both of them, so the nomination was null.
so lets see, bush gets nominated for his reaction to 9/11, but is taken out of the runnings because of his reaction to 9/11
obama gets nominated for doing nothing, and wins for doing nothing.
The_Livewire :
“He’s promoted peace with China by snubbing that evil reactionary, the Dali Lama”
i laughed at that one, the dali lama is a dastardly man, after all.
