Just watched Michael Barone on FoxNews and he alerts us to really big news in New York’s Westchester County. Republican Rob Astorino ousted incumbent Andy Spano with 57.65 of the vote. Obama carried the county last fall with 63.39% of the vote. Astorino ran more than twenty points ahead of John McCain.
Seems Republicans are once again relevant in socially liberal suburbs. They’re going to need to sound a lot like New Jersey’s Govenor-elect who also ran ahead of John McCain in those once-Republican suburbs.
Every piece of good news is making my smile bigger by the minute.
have been trying to get meaningful results on NY23 and it seems that it is too close to call. Even though Owens is ahead at the moment the counting is slow because of broken machines. It is not over just yet.
Fox just called it for Owens (D)
Yeah, Fox called NY23 for the dem, has anyone found any results from CA-10? The local newspapers on line are not reporting anyting.
Socially-liberal Maine is rejecting Gay Marriage and Socially-ultra-liberal Washington is in a cliff hanger as to whether they will reject civil unions. The accept votes are leading, but the reject side is catching up.
