Conservatives cannot win without the Republican party and the Republican party cannot win without conservatives. Everything else is commentary.

Amen, btw, was Grover ever Jewish, cuz that line “Everything else is commentary’ is a very Jewish line, wasn’t it Hillel who said it first?

This is also true for the Democrats. I am a Democrat. Just as there are 2 camps in the Republicans, there are 2 camps in the Democrats. There are the left-wing loonies who are now in power, and the moderates represented by Bayh, Nelson, and Hillary. We moderates do not like being in the same party as the left-wing loonies, but that’s the reality. I voted for McCain because he’s closer to a moderate Democrat than Obama.
The conservatives, like Palin and Romney, have to share the party with McCain and Snowe. Each party could split in 2 so we have 4 parties, but we’re stuck with 2 parties, each with 2 camps who don’t get along. I will happily vote Democrat again when the moderates take control of my party. I suspect that will happen in 2012 when Hillary will make another run.

Now that Hillary qualifies as a moderate Democrat reminds me of what Barry Goldwater once said to Bob Dole: “Who ever would have guessed we’d be the moderates?”

Grover Norquist isn’t Jewish. He’s a crypto-islamist that endangered his country by infiltrating terrorists into the White House.

I think Grover is wrong.
Conservatives do not need the Republican Party to win. In fact, the GOP has been a serious drag on the conservative movement.

Corrected for the political realities.
