Upon reflection , and looking at the picture again, it suddenly came to me that Obama was behaving like those people from San Francisco in South Park (the episode about the Prius and the cloud and of George Clooney being such a bore when he finally won an Oscar). In other words, he let “one” fly and he bent over to sniff his own odour…. ROFL

Not willfully, exactly, just so isolated for so long from everything outside his radical left-wing enclave, he never had the opportunity to learn both sides of any issue. But, he’s the leader of the free world anyway.

Body language is called that precisely for that reason, it’s a language. They teach you that in business school, and highlight it in almost any tourist travel guide.

No American citizen or official should bow to any monarch, national leader, or even the Pope, period. A brief nod of respect is for their position/office is more than sufficient. For the President of the United States, leader of the Known Universe, to even do this should be reserved for only special friends of America when visiting them as a guest…and never a bow. Otherwise the POTUS is first-among-equals.

Hey Barry is unpredictable, remember during his visit to London and how the press let him get by with a quick nod when meeting the English Queen and her consort. I’m sure they let him slide cause his gift to her was so crappy and they could ream him on that ….But come on, this is the 2nd time POTUS has bent over to check the shine on a dude’s shoes ….Our Commander in Chief ain’t suppose to look like he’s reaching for his ankles .. Such a double standard is afforded this president, all one has to do is remember back to what Douglas Jehr of the NYT said after Clinton nodded at Akihito. The Times reporter tore him a new one even after Administration officials scurried to insist that the eager-to-please President had not really done the unthinkable. Hell, just imagine if “W” had done it, the political pontificators would have declared it an effin faux pas extraordinaire and demanded a public flogging on the steps of the Capitol.

Speaking of pontif-what-evers…. why didn’t the Obamas bow to the Pope when they were in the Vatican? He’s not only a head of state, but the spiritual leader of 100s of millions of people around the world. Is he not deservant of at least the same expression of respect given a desert camel jock and a token Shinto monarch.

Obama and his speechwriters and handlers are totally working the messiah theme. He has come to straighten out the mess caused by the incompetent running dogs of yesterday and to set America on a new course of hope and change. Though his work is Herculean, his dedication and will to create a stronger, sun filled tomorrow remain undaunted. As the current calendar is measured BC and AD, there will be a new designation of AO (Anno Obamessiah) and we are now in year 1.

As his disapproval ratings rise and his teleprompter dog and pony show wear increasingly thin, he just ratchets up his blasts at the past and puffs himself up like Barney Frank on steroids. I am beginning to wonder if Obamablowfish isn’t still pumping himself up with a little blow.

In Japan, he also claimed to be the “first Pacific President.”

What is that supposed to mean?

I’m sure it’s yet another case of Obama praising himself for the world-changing circumstances of his birth and upbringing. But note that ‘pacific’ also means peaceful. Is Obama claiming to be the first President who ever cared about peace, or brought it to the world? I think he might be. Not conciously, but as a “Freudian boast”. (If American Elephant will permit me to use neologisms, in this case one that I’ve constructed to mirror the existing term, “Freudian slip”.)

This man is so ignorant that he doesn’t know anything about bowing in Japan and apparently doesn’t even sit down to learn a few of the rules.

He thinks the charm of his aura will paper over any gaffes. The Japanese emperor looked rather startled, as if Obama had done a backflip and then approached walking on his hands. Great job, President Clown.

I believe a good part of Bush’s low approval number was conservatives showing disapproval of him being a liberal Republican.

a) Bush does not defend himself (I believe he thinks it isn’t classy)

b) The pounding makes Barry Soetoro look good, as the Great Redeamer of the Planet (what a joke).

Bush was neither great nor was he terrible. It would be interesting to compare the state of the economy, unemployment rate, number of jihadi attacks on the homeland, etc. between Hussein Obama and Bush.
