Stimulus passed, hit the economy, we finally broke out of the recession we were in since 2007.

So many things wrong with that, only gillie/Tano could say it. Where do I start?

1) No. It didn’t pull us out of anything.

2) So what if it did or does, barely? Please read (or re-read) #1. “Stimulus” can only postpone recessions, making the final crash that much harder. I don’t look forward to it, but given that it must hit, I hope it hits during your Dear Leader’s reign because, with his $1.5 trillion deficits, he will have deserved it.

3) At other times, gillie, the DNC / MoveOn / Kos talking points are going to tell you to say that the “stimulus” *has not* hit the economy yet. (So they can shield the Dear Leader from blame, justify more “stimulus”, etc.) When that happens, will you remember or care at all that you just tried to tell us it did hit the economy and cured the recession already?

Did you actually write that even though Obama’s own Chief Economic Advisor has explained it did jack-shit for the economy, failed it’s #1 task of keeping unemployment under 8% and will require massive revenue hikes to pay for it at some point in the near future?

The fact is the recession was worse than predicted. If Jobs follow the stimulus led recovery, Dems will be in control of the Congress and Prez for at least the next 10 years!!!!

In Michigan, the liberal, pro-Democrat Detroit Free Press reported yesterday that, after reviewing the supposed-jobs created or retained in Michigan by the SSS Obama, the net jobs created cost about $2.7m per job. $2.7m per job.

For instance, Muskegon-based Great Lakes Docks would be a typical example. GtLksDock won two contracts from the Army Corps of Engineers — one for $1.3 million to dredge Monroe Harbor (south of Detroit) and another for $4 million to repair the 2-mile-long seawalls along the channel from Lake Michigan to Saugatuck Harbor (west side of the state). Under reports released Thursday, those contracts have created two jobs.

If Michigan’s experience mirrors the experience in other states –and I’m pretty sure it probably does– the SSS Obama makes earmarking look like pikers bobbing for apples in comparison.

Where is the outrage? Where are the special interest 528 ads slamming this program? The UAW-AFL have ads running for Blue Dawgs that voted for the Health Care Plan last week… where are our people? Michael Steele needs to start doing something other than dressing like a trial lawyer for show TV.

It’s socialism under a new name. All “stimulus” is paid for in one of three ways: the government taxes, the government borrows, or the government prints new money from thin air, which undermines or destroys the value of existing money – also known as, people’s savings. In all three ways, the government DISCOURAGES (not encourages) job creation and new businesses, or even destroys jobs outright. It also discourages capital formation, making jobs less capital-intensive – i.e., crappier. But at 0% interest rates, the asset markets are up and people can still borrow-and-spend, so they’re sedated into thinking things are OK. With “stimulus”, we’re all frogs in the pan, being boiled alive and lulled to sleep by it.

If “stimulus” works to help the real economy (what’s left of it), then why shouldn’t we do far larger amounts of it? Why not send $1 million to every American family to “stimulate” the economy, and run $1 quadrillion deficits? But of course it doesn’t work. At best, it only postpones the effects of recessions which are a necessary economic healing process, to liquidate the crappy investments of the previous fake, “stimulated” boom period. Each new hit of “stimulus” thus guarantees a larger recession in the end, when it simply can’t be postponed any longer – just like a drug addict getting fix after fix, guarantees that his ultimate crash will be one for the history books.

Job *stagnation* is part of the hidden agenda of “stimulus”. The people who support it behind the scenes – e.g., funding its advocates in universities, media and Congress – want a business world economy in which very little ever changes; in which their positions are safe, because there is no way they can fail and little or no threat from rising competitors. America’s “lazy rich” and lazy business people are instinctively drawn to the Democrats.
