Obama is that charismatic guy that every gal (and some guys) have dated in the past. You know the type: the smooth talking, chic pad living, sportscar driving enigma who is lives dangerously and by his own rules? And then you find out that he’s unemployed, the sportcar belongs to his big brother and he’s only living at the boffo apartment because he’s cat sitting for the owner who’s out of the country on business. But alas, it’s too late. He’s already gotten into your pants (or in this case, your wallet.)

Poor Obambi has been sucker punching Bush at every occasion, but the crowd grows surly. They want to see the Obamachamp give them a check, slay their personal dragons and demons, spread the wealth, lower the oceans, end prejudices of every sort and bring on the lollipops and roses.

Hows that hope and change working out for the Obamessiah? When he gets back from date night in Rio, somebody ought to ask him. Or not. Plugs Biden can fill us in or we can go to Recovery.gov and see for ourselves. This is the Age of Nefarious.

You know you’re getting older when you see fashion trends come, die out and come back again. Case in point: I didn’t know how old I was getting until I realized how many of my colleagues weren’t even born during the Carter years. When I warned them that Obama would be Jimmy Carter on steroids, I don’t think it bore the same weight it did when I spoke to peers my age, who actually remember the debacle Carter’s administration was. I point out to them how Reagan, like Palin today, was vilified by the mainstream media as an unqualified buffoon that had no qualifications whatsoever to be President of the United States. I also pointed out how my public school teachers would actually told us that those who voted for Reagan made nuclear armageddon imminent.
