Ahnuld’s Advice to Ma’am on Obamacare

January 7, 2010 by B. Daniel Blatt

The Governor of the Golden State calls out Obamacare for what it is:

Health care reform, which started as noble and needed legislation, has become a trough of bribes, deals and loopholes. You’ve heard of the bridge to nowhere. This is health care to nowhere. California’s congressional delegation should either vote against this bill that is a disaster for California or get in there and fight for the same sweetheart deal Senator Nelson of Nebraska got for the Cornhusker State. He got the corn; we got the husk.

For some reason, I just don’t think either of California’s Senators will be listening.  Nor for that matter will the great majority of our House delegation pay much heed to his sound advice.  So beholden are these Democrats to pass “historic” legislation that they overlook those provisions calling on cash-strapped Golden State citizens to fit the Medicare bill of the citizens of Nebraska, a state in far better economic shape than the one Mesdames Feinstein and Boxer were elected to represent.

I think Republicans REAAAALLY need to make a major issue of how Democrats are putting partisanship ahead of their constituents wishes, and ahead of whats good for the country*

Come up with a catch phrase that we can STICK to them and drag out election after election, to remind Americans, even years from now, how they felt when this radical congress was trying to cram its ideological agenda down American’s throats against their will. Something that instantly reminds people that voting Democrat MEANS voting for lockstep, unanimous radicalism.

*I actually heard audio yesterday of Pelosi saying something to the effect of “this healthcare bill is going to make them BEG us for a public option” with her caucus knowingly cackling behind her. As has been the Dem strategy for decades to intentionally drive up the cost of private care til it hurts too much)

In reality, Nebraska got the corn – the rest of us got the cob.

And it would’ve been nice if those pols would’ve sprang for a little K-Y. I mean, they’ve taxed us out that hole, a little consideration is all I’m asking for now.
