20 degrees, with no snow? That is the most annoying cold there is. No Snow???? It’s pointless!!!!! And for those who are going to whine about driving in the white stuff…. Get A Subaru For Christ Sakes!!!!
PS. I was going to post a picture of me and my Subaru in the snow, but that was much funnier!

Did you know that the annual carbon footprint of a medium-size dog is greater than that of an SUV?
Global warming is basically good. If CO2 causes it – which is highly doubtful and unproven, but if it is true – then we should all have more pets.
January 8, 2010 at 12:41 pm - January 8, 2010
I would like to see Al Gore shoveling his snow – what a picture that would make.
Anyway, global warming is real, we just don’t know a few simple things, such as, if it is normal in the scheme of things since the hockey stick graph appears to be bogus;we don’t know if it is caused by us or what is causing it, why it has seemingly stopped, etc. – that’s all, but we are going to ruin our standard of living to make no difference in the climate whatsoever. I’m so glad we have all these brilliant Ivy Leaguers in charge of our government.

How can global warming be real if there has been no rise in the temperature in over 10 years???
January 8, 2010 at 1:17 pm - January 8, 2010
20 degrees? Do you know what I would do for 20 degrees?!? It is below zero in Nebraska! You should be singing Too Darn Hot!

So I flew from central PA and escaped to Ft Lauderdale a few days ago.
But here in south Florida we are experiencing RECORD LOW TEMPS AND RECORD LOW HIGHS.
I am driving my Yukon XL extra to create some global warming but it’s not helping out.
Here in FLA, waiting in the McDonald’s DT an iguana fell out of a tree and was run over. The big story here is wildlife freezing and lizards of all types falling from trees to their deaths. For liberals educated in the public school system, that’s because they are cold blooded beings and depend of the daily sun and heat to heat their bodies. When it is this cold they actually can’t maintain their grip and plunge to their deaths.
Is this the end of the florida iguanna populations? Is the gecko doomed?
How ironic….florida lizards dead and extinct before the artic polar bears.

Here is Maine, we’ve been giggling nonstop since there’s only a 20 degree difference between us and the Florida panhandle.
Remember folks: dress in layers.

BTW, I just got done showing that Global Warming has been fixed, for a price tag of $2.8 billion euro’s.
January 8, 2010 at 3:34 pm - January 8, 2010
#7 damn I forgot about that layers thing…….
The President just came out and said some things about green jobs without mentioning the millions of Americans struggling with this ice age. He’s just heartless. Is it me, or does he look like he’s going to cry all the time, since the Christmas day bomber.
January 8, 2010 at 4:04 pm - January 8, 2010
::: laugh :::
We got reptiles falling out of trees
Sea Turtles going catatonic in our lagoons
Manatees gettin’ all hypothermic
And Northeastern Snow Birds complaining about how their time-share contract didn’t include disclaimers for the winter weather following them here.
Even Mickey is a little grumpy.

Come to think of it, the chameleons and frogs on the lanai have been non-existent for the past week or so. The screens are covered with plastic, so I can’t see the wildlife in the back yard.
Is it me, or does he look like he’s going to cry all the time, since the Christmas day bomber.
No. To me he looks annoyed and angry that so much crap is interrupting Harry Potter. That’s why the speeches are short and meaningless.

Barack Obama is not cool enough to be reading Harry Potter…hes probably reading Noam Chomsky, Depak Chopra or some other leftist douchebaggery.

To me he looks like he’s about to vomit all the time since 12/25. His worldview has been crushed.

Bruce, outdoor lighting looks awesome, but now I see that someone stole your ears you poor man. Obama has more than his share, perhaps we can redistribute his.
January 8, 2010 at 7:01 pm - January 8, 2010
Im sorry, that was supposed to be cute, please dont take it any other way. I have the same earmuff thingys and they make me look like my ears have been removed. guess it was my brain

I happen to recall from my time in the Keeweenaw – the northern peninsula of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula that juts up into Lake Superior – where 300″ of snow is the norm each year, and the Alberta Clipper has nothing to block it when the winds blow across so much exposed water – cold cuts right through to the bones, and even the fat people look good in the extra bulky clothing. . . More is better, and keeping warm is priceless!
At least if the power goes out, you can have a 3-dog night!

my only transpo is an old XL250s Honda motorcycle.
I ride is rain shine or snow.
during the Crhistmas eve snowstorm here in DFW I rode down to the church to play in the parking lot.
I’m originally from Michigan. . . why do you ask? (~_^)

4.How can global warming be real if there has been no rise in the temperature in over 10 years???
For the same reason that an increase in temperature over a period of 10 years does not prove global warming. There is just too many fluctuations in climate and temperature to point to a ten year period and conclude anything.

In the 1970’s some of the very same jackasses who now spearhead the redistribution of wealth to liberal organizations, industries, and socialist countries “global warming” hysteria were talking about global cooling and the coming ice age.
It is MY (sarcastic) hypothesis that today’s current COOLING is just the continuation of the cooling trend witnessed in the 1970s, and that what liberals call “global warming” was just a blip in the long term cooling trend.
(See how that works! See how you can establish a trend just by claiming it to be so!)
The point is, we are not dealing with credible scientists. That may be the ONLY thing that has been proven by the whole global warming debate. They have been proven to be lying, they have been proven to be taking political action against any studies that refute their desired end result, and the scientists who established it, and even now they are claiming they still have credibility whilst they continue to ignore science that refutes their agenda.
And its no wonder they lie. We are on the one hand talking about people, organizations and countries that collectively will potentially be the recipients of BILLIONS of dollars, and on the other hand talking about millions of secular liberal souls clinging desperately to their religion, the noble, but false idea that the world is in peril and they are saving it.
Another new study came out last week showing that there has been NO increase in the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere over the last 100-some-odd years. Which of course obliterates the entire theory of man-made global warming, and the entire idea that increased carbon has caused global warming.
Naturally, global warm-mongers are simply ignoring it. Because this has nothing to do with science.

I have never understood your culture’s neurotic inner compulsion to have something to be worried about. Maybe it is a reaction to living in a country where people can achieve almost whatever they have the motivation to achieve. Their personal achievement has to be offset by being “concerned” about something – real or imaginary. The people who make money off this “concern” are the worst!!! They live high on the hog and somehow rationalize it because of their needing to get the message out – gee whiz, I have to spent lots of money to carry the message. Al Gore is the epitomy of this – living large while whining how everyone else has to change.
January 10, 2010 at 5:47 am - January 10, 2010
Honestly Duffy, I think its because they are spoiled brats who dont have a real religion, so they are searching for something larger than themselves to believe in. And as has been said before, people who dont believe in something will believe in anything.

inane. you have no clue as to what global warming actually means, reading the term literally like a school child. wow.
