GOP Certain to Pick Up Democratic Senate Seat
With his announcement today ”that he is running for the Senate seat being vacated by Byron Dorgan“, John Hoeven moves a seat once considered safely Democrat to safe Republican.
Methinks the good Governor won’t have to campaign much, given his popularity in the Peace Garden State. Perhaps, he could help his party replace the state’s Democratic Congressman with a representative more in line with the state’s partisan and philosophical inclinations.
And make sure to check out Michael Barone assessment of why this Republican state has been sending mostly Democrats to Congress for the past thirty years.

If the people are not to feel like they are being taken for granted, then he will need to campaign.
The Coakley vs. Brown race is a good example of why campaigning is necessary.

Odd that the ND Demonrat party approached MSDNC gasbag Ed Schultz about running for the seat. I am always told by the Democrat hacks that angry radicals like Schultz don’t represent the mainstream of their party. And yet, the party itself was trying to recruit him.
Also, it’s the second time an MSDNC host has been approached to run for the senate. (The other was Chris Matthews in Pennsylvania.) I don’t recall anyone from FoxNews ever being approached by the Republican party to run for office.

The Dems can not figure out the difference between a “communicator” and what is being communicated. They think the sheeple can be talked into voting for a candidate if the talker is slick enough.
They still wonder how “stupid” Reagan pulled it off. They still wonder why their silver tongued orators don’t have profitable talk shows. They still don’t understand that selling snake oil only works for a short time and then you have to clear out of town before the tar and feathers catch up with you.
