His book didn’t bother me, at least not after hearing an interview with him where he seemed genuinely disenchanted. He worked with Bush for years in Texas IIRC, and it seemed he was more angry with Rove and Cheney. I mean people have fallings out, it happens. Write a book, whatever. I don’t care. One of his messages which I think is pretty good is the culture of “constant campaigning” that affects Washington now, maybe since Clinton. Certainly we see it with Obama and some others.

What did bother me was the Left’s reaction. After years of saying mcClellan was an idiot who no one should trust or listen to, suddenly he is this smart and wise insider whom we should all listen to. Wait a minute only a week ago you said he was an idiot.

Thus be to traitors…

While public employees…and ALL White House operatives are public employees including the President…can’t be sworn to confidentiality agreements, it’s unseeming when political campaign operatives write their “tell-all” books after the campaign badmouthing their own staffs, their bosses, and their candidate. Worse, they do so proudly declaiming that “…it’s in the public’s interest” and the “…we have a right to know”.

WTF!

And worse; the next dumb smuck comes along nect campaign-cycle, hires them based on their book, and doesn’t gag them either…
