Ok, I’m calling it for Brown. 70% of precincts in, Brown still at 53%.   Everyone is calling it for Brown.  He’s winning by the same margin in Mass that Obama won in the nation just 14 months ago.

There’s just a few more hours.
That’s all the time you’ve got. A few more hours
Until they kill this rot.
Obamacare’s getting buried in the morning! Ding dong!
The bells are gonna chime. Pull out the stopper!
Let’s have a whopper! But get Brown to the Senate on time!

UPDATE:  It’s official: Democratic Senator Jim Webb of Virginia: Suspend Further Votes On Health Care Until Brown Is Seated

  9. The excuses and spin have begun:

    Campaign Manager Kevin Conroy:

We’ve received several independent and disturbing reports of voters across the state being handed ballots that are already marked in favor of Scott Brown. This is obviously a serious violation, and our legal team is taking immediate steps to protect the integrity of this election.

We do not yet know why this is happening, but you and everyone you know needs to be aware of the situation so that you can carefully inspect your ballot. If a vote has already been marked, you must return the ballot to the elections official, demand a clean ballot, and call our Voter Protection Hotline at 617-351-6866.

  18. YES!!!!

Or perhaps that should be, “Yes we can!” ;)

I understand there is some chanting of “John Kerry’s next” at the Brown HQ party. I truly hope they are right. For now though, Boxer & Reid are my top targets in November. Who else can we send packing?

  24. I called Inauguration Day, 2009, capitalism’s funeral. I guess its been on life support because this election is a rejection of socialism at its worst. The American people, through the “tea parties” and the elections in NJ, VA, and MA, have restored my faith in them. I was afraid we had gone over the tipping point where government intrusion into our financial affairs was going to run rampant. Today, I still believe a majority of Americans believe in capitalism and less government, Ronald Reagan-style.

  25. Today was definitely heartening, like catching your breath after a desperate sprint. I’m still worried though, Democrats can still do tremendous damage. Indeed, it may become easier. Making concessions that get liberal Republicans to sign on to major elements of their agenda may prove much easier than their their refusal to compromise has, and will give them the cover of “bi-partisanship”.
