  1. I guess it’s the gay in this gay Republican that had me turning to showtunes to celebrate last night. I chose “Defying Gravity” from Wicked, “Come So Far (Got So Far to Go)” from the film version of the musical Hairspray, and “The Impossible Dream” from Man of La Mancha.

  3. Alex, you and me both–for me it was 1776 and My Fair Lady–Get me to the Church on Time (rephrased as Get Scott to the Senate on time)

    Jeb-I saw the 1998 revival with Data, er, Brent Spiner, as John Adams. Good show, great soundtrack.
