Pelosi: House lacks votes to pass Senate health

Supreme Court ruling a landmark for corporate political cash

UPDATE:  Ed Morrissey on the first headline above:  ”And now that the blinkers have begun to come off, Democrats realize that most people didn’t consider this a priority in the first place“:

it’s an ignominious defeat for Obama and Pelosi, whose radical approach and “I won” attitude finally caught up with them.  Even with massive majorities and a filibuster-proof caucus, they could not jam down a massive government intrusion into the private sector through Congress.  They overreached, and now they have been exposed as radicals in the middle of an election year.

  1. The Shark Feeding Frenzy Starting? My Money – The Smart Money, Is On The Clintons.

I linked to Monica Crowleys’s article and post on this topic The Return Of 42. Bill Clinton met with Barack H Obama to give him some advice. I think it’s a mistake to underestimate Bill Clinton at anytime, anywhere but the Obama administration isn’t strong on their learning from history….If I was Barack H Obama, I would be watching my back. On Malkin’s Blog she has a post up The Kossacks are attacking Hillbuzz for their PUMA stance on Scott Brown, how stupid is this to attack Hillary Clinton Supporters?

  2. American freedom would benefit from a Hillary or Bill challenge to Obama in 2012.
Hillary was the first senior official on the ground in Haiti. She has been a serious voice in an administration of fools and amatuers.
Some one pointed out that Hillary beat Obama in the primaries in VA NJ and MA. Independents were against Obama when matched against Hillary. A Hillary/Obama primary battle will really help the Republican in 2012. It may permanently split the A American vote.
In the Congress is it possible for folk like Boxer, Murry, Bayh to save themselves? Is there enough time for them to run from their records?
It looks like NV, PA, DE, AK, LA will flip to patriotic Republican control. Here in FLA a new poll now shows the conservative Rubio pulling away from the more moderate and Obama hugging Crist. Ex Gov Pataki runs ahead of Gillebrand in NY state as well.
The patriotic Supreme Court today slapped McCain Feingold down. Will Feingold survive being labeled the unconstitutionalSenator from WI?
What a mess for the liberals. Let freedom ring.

  4. Clinton beat Obama in OH, and the polls for both Governor and Senator are trending Republican….that would be an interesting thing to look at.

  5. Here’s the thing. The Democrats will produce gobs of spin, “pivot to jobs” for a few weeks, then start over with a “bipartisan” approach featuring 2 or 3 fiscally liberal Republicans. (As Ed Morrissey points out in the article you just linked in the other thread.)

So, it’s not over. We (all Americans who love freedom) must continue to obstruct and stall health care until two things happen. (1) Republicans finally get it: CUT GOVERNMENT. (2) Those Repubs who get it are elected.

And I have big doubts about point (1) ever happening. Even Scott Brown, love him for killing ObamaCare, voted for RomneyCare. (Which was wrong in principle and which, sure enough, has become a disaster in practice.)

  6. let’s see if you have the same opinion of the high court’s decision when unions plaster the airwaves with ads belittling the GOP candidate.

This was a horrible decision and will pollute an already filthy process. The honorable Justice Stevens got it right when he said: “Although they make enormous contributions to our society, corporations are not actually members of it.” Sadly, we’ll be paying for bushco’s decisions for a few decades with the extremists he appointed to the high bench. Shame on those disgusting five justices.

  7. Sorry Ohiospoogechugger. Corporations are society. They are the people that run the business and the ones that provide jobs, money and benefits. The unions, on the other hand, are corrupt Communist thugs.

You mean like they were already doing?

Now, buckeyenutlover, either state that the unions broke the law or that this decision simply allows corporations and individuals to do exactly what the unions are already doing.

Or don’t you have an answer? Why don’t you crawl back into the welfare line with the rest of your worthless Obama Party members?

  9. Let the unions waste their members hard earned money defending the likes of Kerry Boxer and Reid. I ‘ll put my money on the multitude of conservative organizations to get the truth out.

  11. What a week for liberals. Now the Supreme Court agrees the 20 year old Mc Cain Feingold was unconstitutional. Hurray for free speech. Now it’s reported liberal Democrat superstar John Edwards admits his affair and he had a child out of wedlock. How sad. We already knew from the book Game Change that he and his wife were frauds and creeps. Guess they are really just…. well…..Democrats.

  13. Amidst the joy and celebration from the huge rebuke to Obama on Tuesday comes this troubling news about this administration.
Democrats are incompetent on terror. Disagree. Read the account of what happened on Christmas day when the bomber was stopped by passengers, only to have him treated as just another petty theif by the administration. What follows is a report of the horrific communication and actions by the Obama administration.
There need to be congressional hearings….
“on the Christmas Day terrorist attack. Four top counterterrorism officials testified before a congressional committee that they were not consulted about how to handle the interrogation of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the al Qaeda operative who attempted to blow up Flight 253 on December 25, 2008. ” read the whole thing…..chills…

  14. Sorry liberals….hate to keep piling it on.
It was just announced that AIR AMERICA the vitriolic liberal radio “network” has gone dark. No more money, no more donors, no more money bags to bail them out.
Be prepared for a bunch of mad and angry out of work socialists in your neighborhoods. Protect the kids!

great! now I have to clean the latte off my screen!

Isnt it amusing disturbing how he comes here to lash out at conservatives, all the while making sure everyone knows that he is nonetheless looking for “nut”

Ding dong the witch is dead!

Of course now Obama will redouble his efforts at “local control” and “diversity ownership” laws to kill conservative talk radio.

In the meantime, how much longer before Huffpo follows suit? They are losing money hand over fist too.

  17. I would encourage everyone to scroll up and take another look at buckeyenutlover’s comment at # 6. No, not the actual comment itself–that’s just a bunch of silly jibberish, just ignore it. What I’m referring to is what is NOT in the comment. Am I mistaken? Or is there something missing? Could it be that for the first time buckeyenutlover has actually posted a comment on this blog that is not punctuated at the end with his signature catch-phrase? Surely everyone vividly remembers how buckeyenutlover would sign off with the once-triumphant (now hilarious and sad) line, “IT’S GONNA BE A LONG DECADE FOR YOU NEOCONS!!!!!” (just before zipping into the clouds on his broomstick, flanked by an armada of flying monkeys).

I’m gonna go out on a limb here–the fact that it doesn’t appear in comment # 6? That’s not an oversight. And I gotta say, even a whole decade older, I look FANTASTIC!
