I could never figure out why these people were so angry and vile towards Bush, Cheney and Rove. For the life of me I didn't see where the connection was. When did the president do or say that? I could not find where that happened but for the last 6 or so yrs we heard it all the time and thought they were out of it or something. Then when the campaign started and after McCain picked Sarah oh my gosh all hell broke loose. The way they treated her was disgusting and for what reason?? To find out it is the Alinsky play book just scared me out of the political comma. From that day on I decided to pay attention and defend/support her and all that told the truth and loved this country, I had to. It was good verses evil in my eyes. That is a very good reason why the whole country is paying attention now thank God. If we could only stop the rhetoric and bickering it would be clearer to more people. But that is exactly why the left is spewing it and will continue to do it. November cannot come soon enough, we also need to stop the recruitment for Obama in our high schools, ck out atlasshrugs.com. Find a tea party near you they are everywhere. Stay safe.

Frank Rich is to the NYT opinion page what Keith Ogre-mann is to MSNBC's opinion programming. They have both twisted and contorted facts so often to fit their purpose that nothing either of them says can be taken seriously.

They've turned themselves into caricatures.

To state it plainly: Bush and Cheney *never* called anyone "unpatriotic".

If you lefties remember it differently, then post in this thread direct, authentic quotes from Bush or Cheney that employed "unpatriotic". With links.

What I remember is Bush and Cheney saying, both with respect and with good reason, things roughly like "I question my opponent's position - not his patriotism."
