Jesus Christ buddy, he was a politician, not a king. If you think your desire to glorify this guy comes from your own independent appraisals of his performance and not a highly efficient and deliberate marketing campaign on the part of the media and GOP leadership, you’re just crazy.

The current period of American decline was started during the Reagan administration. Our country’s been weighed down by social conservatism and voodoo economics since he took office, and I wouldn’t consider that much of a contribution. The things he’s lauded for like ending the cold war (as if he did it single-handedly) would have happened anyway – but you just go ahead and pretend that it was all about his speech.

Using their words and pointing out their deeds is not “demonizing” no matter what the KOSholes tell you. Calling the American people teabaggers, Nazis, Klansmen, mobs or calling our soldiers terrorists or referring to them as uneducated hicks IS demonizing.
