Rush Admits Error in Telling GOP to Skip Health Care Summit
They went anyway…. and scored some points. You can tell because there is no news of “Obama’s Spectacular Triumph” to be found in today’s papers or in the news.
And when Republicans mess up, the voice of the Beltway establishment doesn’t tell them they’ve had their best day in years.
Rush must have read Sonic’s post; he admitted that he was wrong.

I think Rush was right, and we all just “got lucky for once” with the Republican performance.
Who the hell knew they were going to send their A-team? Who knew they even had an A-team? The Republican performance on fiscal issues and growth-of-government issues has been dismal for years. (Since about, oh, 2000 and the triumph within the party of so-called “compassionate conservatism”, and continuing up to the bailouts – owned now by Obama and the Democrats to be sure, but originally proposed by Bush and Maverick.)

I would love to take credit, but apparently he apologized a bit before i wrote my post. I wonder if Sully’s going to write about the apology?

Funny how people on opposite sides go fishing for the same logical thread to play out….

I was wrong also. I assumed Bammy would have crammed all night so he had his talking points ready to go. But he showed up totally unprepared for the buzzsaw he walked into.
It was like one of those dreams I have when I show up for the last day of Finals and realize I haven’t gone to class all term.
At least Bammy wasn’t in his underwear, though that would have delight Tano.

No offense to sonic, but Rush made that admission early on Thursday. He was surprised but pleased with the outcome of the Republican performance as the event was unfolding.
