Edwards epilogue: Does the press really vet presidential candidates?

  1. Politico makes me gag. Right away they go to Michael Beschloss of the Obama off-the-charts-I.Q. fame.

Beschloss is hardly my idea of a go-to “presidential historian.” He is a self inflating whoopee cushion.

The press “vets” with the same diligence they report the “facts” and suppress their bias.

I chortled as I read that Politico has decided we have learned “quite enough” about Edwards. Meanwhile, they can not pry deeply enough into anything Palin.

  2. Also no vetting if your last name is Obama.
