I mean, let’s put it this way. When I go to the doctor, he asks about my alcohol intake and tells *me* to continue my policy of moderation. And is my intake moderate? Yeah. Maybe 2-3 drinks per *week*, and has been no more than that for decades. Even in college, I had some fun moments but basically topped out at 5-6 drinks per week. So the language is ass-covering boilerplate, little more than “Continue to avoid car accidents.”

I am a smoker and quitting is extremely difficult and can be a process that takes a while.

Proven fact: If a person couldn’t get cigarettes, they’d have no problem quitting. It would be a done deal. Which means: If a person didn’t continue making the choice to buy and consume cigarettes, they’d have no problem quitting. There is no soul so weak, that it cannot, under proper direction, acquire absolute power over its passions.

I think I go with “continue moderation in alcohol intake.” Liver and pancreas function is checked with blood analysis and alcohol use can cause elevated markers. Perhaps they took the blood at the beginning of the physical and all testing was done immediately, but that is doubtful.

More likely, Obama answered some questions concerning his smoking and alcohol usage and the docs simply said to continue to do what you are doing at the same level or less, but not more. That is common sense advice.

Obviously, Obama has a smoking and drinking problem based on the medical report. I think doctors won’t be giving such recommendations if they haven’t seen the problem through the President’s medical tests. This only shows that he is not too concerned with his health as much as he is not so concerned with the country’s economic conditions.

So using your logic, that means the Doctor thinks Obama is

1. Going to develop colon cancer in the next 5 years. (Doesn’t this recommendation happen for all guys his age?)
2. Smokes like a chimney. (Proven fact: some can quit cold-turkey and others fight a long battle. Go to a smoking cessation page, they all say that.)
3. Is a lazy bum who never exercises. (Guess all that basketball and running isn’t doing anything, we all know he LOOKS like a fat slob…right?)
4. Eats like a pig with no regard to his health. (So much for the organic garden and choosing a House chef with experience in organic and healthy cooking.)
5. Drinks like a fish. (We all know he parties with lampshades on his head every night.)
6. Has horrible teeth and needs a dentist. (Yeah, I have seen him smile…yuck!)
7. And has not been getting his shots like he should. (He needs his rabies shot before we have to euthanize him like Ol’ Yeller!)

In case you were wondering, this accusation about Obama’s drinking habits is called in modern terms, “Reaching”.

At least have the decency to remain politically minded and not personally attacking. And don’t give me that crap about “they did it to Bush”. So what? You condemned it then as stupid thing to do and yet do it yourself. Be bigger than that and concentrate on the policies and politics.

Funny, I dont remember Bush, Bush Sr. or Clinton’s doctors advising them to moderate their drinking. Perhaps thats because the only people who need to be told to moderate their drinking are people who are drinking to excess to begin with.

And whats this bullshit about “continuing” smoking cessation? I am an ex smoker, and you either quit or you don’t. Obama has not.

The cigs apparently go too well with the liquor, pot and coke!
