Hey, Mr. President, isn’t it time for a new economic team?

Imagine you’re Chief Executive of a company.  A year after you’ve put a product on the market that your product development team said would sell like hotcakes and well, it isn’t even selling like cold cereal, you’d probably think about restructuring that department.

Well, just over a year ago, the president’s economic team promised us that  if we adopted their “stimulus,” we wouldn’t see unemployment climb above 8%–and it would have reached that peak oh, about nine months ago.  And now it’s stall at 9.7%, with jobs still being lost even though that economic team promised us new jobs would be created.

And now we’ve got the president following in Harry Reid’s footsteps and saying that his economic plan is working!?!?!  Doesn’t he realize that by saying it’s working, he’s admitting that, well, just over a year ago, his economic team got it wrong?  They predicted an unemployment rate for February  two full points below where it is right now.

(H/t for chart: Gateway Pundit.)  And heck, the unemployment rate is even higher than they predicted it would be without their “recovery plan.”

Methinks it’s time for a new economic team.  Don’t you?

  1. Look our bumbling young President said heads were going to roll after the Christmas Day bomber almost killed 300+ civilians. And he was going to get to the bottom of the Ft Hood massacre and how that nutt went undetected. tic toc…..anyone still waiting for answers from this crew? I’m not I’m no fool. So if you are waiting for him to assemble another team of economists who actually don’t get thrills from LOSING MORE THAN 30,000 jobs hold your breath!

  2. Ah, but you see, the job losses are always “unexpected”. That makes them OK.

  3. And never mind the millions of workers who have given up looking. Or the millions of underemployed / unwilling part-time.

And never mind the $1.5 T annual deficits that are destroying businesses’ ability to get loans and create a real recovery, and that will bring on the next (and greater) financial crisis.

  5. But we can’t afford to lose Geithner since he is the only person in the universe who is somehow somethingorother about the economy.

  6. 8 of 10 “green job” stimulus dollars go overseas. So there are jobs being created… they’re just not here.

  8. I’m with John in Dublin, tar and feather time. It’s not that this is a naive inexperienced president making mistakes. This is a confirmed socialist who wants to change our country. He’d love to see 10% unemployment for years to come. More people dependent on government that way.

I think it’s time for a new team period, economic and otherwise.

Of course Obama knows NOTHING about creating jobs because LESS than 10% of this administration has EVER worked in the private sector.

These are totalitarians who know nothing about creativity, nothing about empowerment, nothing about freedom, the only thing they know is how to use the levers of power to steal from others and force people to do things their way — and that NEVER creates jobs, or wealth, or opportunity — it only destroys them, and destroys people, and inevitably destroys society.

    Fire the lot.

  10. In order to get a new team, you have to get rid of the old team. In order to get rid of the old team, you have to admit (to yourself if to no one else) that they have failed. This President is incapable of any such admission. Their plan worked, period, end of sentence. If you are too stupid to see the truth, then you have the problem, not them.

  11. Hey I’ve said it before
    this is Obamas “A” team.
Whether it is economics or health policy, his second tier folks are more inept and incompetent than this front line bunch. Hold on America.
