In 2005, the inappropriate e-mails came to light on Foley. He was lectured and told to stop. The e-mails weren’t vile, those were the instant messages. The ones the Democrats knew of and didn’t use until it was expedient.

But hey, to Levi, lying under oath to a Federal Grand Jury is ‘just about sex’. That is if there’s a (D) after their name.

There is no indication that they knew anything and until there is, you don’t get to keep saying things like that. The article you mentioned cited rumors – an easy thing to say after everything has been exposed. Who was circulating these rumors? Were they widespread? Was there reason to believe them? Was it among staffers or did other representatives know? Your article doesn’t explain and includes a few lines of vague gossip.

Did the Republicans act on the sin of ommission with Foley? National Review says likely. Did the Democrats exploit Foley’s sexual orientation for political gain? Camile says so.

The sin of omission? How about complicity and willful covering up?

No one exploited Foley’s sexual orientation. Were Democrats running around saying “Foley is gay, so vote for us?” I don’t remember any of that. What they might have said was “Foley might be trying to have sex with kids and the GOP leadership seems to have been trying to cover it up, so vote for us.”

Which Democrats? Was it anybody important? Was it anybody even in the Congress? I’ve never seen any indication that anyone that had any power to escalate matters was aware. However, we know that John Boehner and other top Republicans knew and tried to sweep it under the rug.

Second fact is that the democrats knew about it with Massa, and with Foley well before and did nothing until it was expedient.

If the Democrats thought Foley was inappropriate, they should have said something when they knew. They didn’t.

How is it possible that I ignored the facts? I copied and pasted only the most relevant and specific information that was linked. None of those things seem nefarious, and none of those things give any indication that Massa was touching people inappropriately.

What about the facts you’re ignoring? As in the facts that GOP house leadership was covering for a pervert and thereby putting underage teenagers in harm’s way?

That isn’t exactly earth-shattering stuff. Probably inappropriate, but hardly illegal. And nothing like sweeping the fact that a member of your caucus is sexting underage pages.

And lets not forget Dan Sutton or how they sat on the Foley issue to use it for political capital. Hmm, kind of like Foley.

All they need to do is slaughter children and they’ll have earned the trifecta of Levi support.

It also made Glenn Beck look like a total moron and completely undercut his and other conservatives’ ridiculous conspiracy theories about how the Democrats are conducting themselves. These guys are ruthless political operatives twisting peoples’ arms and using every dirty trick in the book, they’re actually pretty mundane and ineffectual. But at least to their credit, they did remove this weird crazy person from their midst.

I think he’s done talking, because he doesn’t want to get in any more trouble, because he’s guilty.
