It’s not only the Muslims in Norway who are comfortable being overtly anti gay. Bruce Bawer who lives there has experienced some nasty homophobia from your run of the mill Norwegians, the white kind.

He has written about it in the press there. It appears that simply having equality laws (gay marriage is law in Norway these days, not just civil unions) doesn’t change the hearts and minds of the people.

Someone should tell HCR, GLAAD and all the rest of them.

Actualyl Conservative Guy, I’m quite sure his views on women are quite diverse.

“The woman should really wear the full burka, but I beleive in their rigth to choose to not go out in public.”

Ii agree with the comment above…gay people have more of a chance under the lunatic Phelps than under radical Muslims and THAT is NOT saying much! It’s stuff like this that drives me nuts. Islam gets a pass when Judaism and certainly Christianity wouldn’t. And now with this, is anyone surprised that a group called “Queers For Palestine” exists? If any Christian activist had a neat idea, it would be this: to follow through on your most homophobic fantasies and proposals, become a Muslim. You can spout off the most horrendous stuff and the left wing will either avert their eyes or praise you, certainly not condemn you.

Aah – The joys of diversity.

If a Norwegian Geert Wilders or Mark Steyn shows up, we’ll see just how committed to free speech the Norwegians really are.

A couple of weeks ago, John Derbyshire mentioned in his “Radio Derb” program that Jews were leaving Malmö, Sweden because of the upsurge in anti-Semitic activity from the city’s Muslim population (20 percent and growing). The left-wing mayor’s attitude is “who cares?”. One Jew, on the idea of moving to Stockholm, said it wouldn’t make any difference since Stockholm will be the same in five years.

Once Scandinavia is cleansed of Jews, Christians (what few there are), I wonder what these lefties plan to do when the Islamists come after them?

Fred Phelps and his clan of weirdos may yell, scream, and wave asinine signs but I’m pretty sure that, compared to life under sharia, Fred and the gang wouldn’t throw me from a tall building or cut off my head.

And then there’s the Muslim chaplain at Vanderbilt, born and raised in Kenya, educated in Saudi Arabia, who’s OK with executing gays… aren’t we glad we let these people immigrate to this country?
