Obama Slinks To Fox News To Save Presidency

March 16, 2010 by GayPatriot

What a tool.

In an “extended, exclusive” interview tomorrow [Obama] will sit down with Special Report anchor Bret Baier to make his health care reform pitch to the FNC audience. What a long, strange trip it’s been.

The interview will air in full at 6pmET tomorrow and will take place earlier in the afternoon. “We welcome the opportunity to sit down with the President and try to get some specifics on the health care legislation,” said Baier in making the announcement right after NoonET today on Fox News.

The history between the White House and Fox News has been a shaky one. In September he went to every major news outlet except Fox for an interview. That started things, and with FNC essentially winning the war it came to a head in late October with a meeting between Robert Gibbs and Michael Clemente.

So Fox is a just a bunch of right-wing extremists watched by right-wing extremist teabaggers… until Obama is on the ropes.

What. A. Tool.

No, Obama, you’re NOT going to change my mind about health care “reform” or my opinion of YOU just because you show up on FoxNews. Damn, man! Don’t you know that the FoxNews audience is smart enough to know you’re only going there to try and save your sorry ass?!

Look at the bright side, Obama thought he was going to destroy opposition with his summit, which is why he decided to televise it — but it bombed for him.

He obviously is thinking similarly here. Thinking he can sway the process with his magnificent presence on FOX, if Baier comes prepared to be tough, Obama could bomb again.

If I were Baier, I’d probably put him on the defensive from the get-go by opening with criticism of Obama’s “war on FOX News”

I suspect at the very best it will be a wash, but let’s hope Obama trips up and hurts his case.

Here is the opening question I would throw at Professor Obama:

Would you take a few moments at the beginning of this interview to address high school students across America about how a bill becomes a law?

    lol @ Helio

I wish I knew something about video production! I think a well done parody using that old Schoolhouse Rocks video could be very effective.

Whats the point? He is going to say the exact same things to FOX that he says everywhere else.

Well who knows, maybe Obama will talk slow enough this time and use simple enough words, that we can understand Him and He will ejumakate us.

I just love the hypocrisy of the Left 🙂 So can I assume that IF Obama ever addressed a Tea Party Rally that we would no longer be “nazis” and “trouble makers”????

“Mr. President, now that some 75% of the people don’t want your plan what do you intend to do?

“Sir, now that your allies are calling for unconstitutional measures what do you plan do?

    Yes, fine first questions.

The point is that FOX News has more conservative Democrat viewers than any other news channel. Obama thinks they only oppose his bill because his mesmerizing lies are being filtered by the dastardly neocons at FAUX News, and that if he can only plant a direct double-whammy of prop-“O”-ganda right between their eyes without being filtered, that he can convince them to support his socialist trojan horse.

He presumes in doing so that FOX cant make him look foolish with the tough questions that nobody else is asking him. MAybe he’s right, maybe he will get all the questions in advance.

    We shall see.

Can’t wait to see this. I think the “One” will bomb again. I still don’t know why people (especially most gay people) don’t see this guy as the charlatan that he is.

That ought to slash unemployment and kick start the economy in time for the Obamacare soaring deficit bankruptcy of the country.

I doubt Obama’s people arranged the interview without loosely establising the ground rules up front. I don’t expect to hear Brett ask Obama about the “war” with Fox News last year. That’s probably off limits.

I’m a little disappointed Fox agreed to do the interview after how poorly they were treated by the administration. I suspect they were promised something more than this “exclusive” to get them to do it.

I think you mean, the UNPOPULAR president Obama, Buckeyec*md*mp. Even Gallup, which polls all adults, the group most favorable to Democrats admits he is unpopular now.
