Terrible performance by the man who is supposed to be the most brilliant President evah.
He just simply isn’t used to being challenged.
And, he flat out admitted he doesn’t care if Congress follows the law or not. Just pass something.
Obama wants to rule by fiat.

Obama wanted to be asked 2 questions, and he would sit and give his tired and stale speel about what “the bill” would do for America. The fox journalists aren’t like the state run media types. They actually try to get answers to pressing questions. Obama got aggitated and looked outof his depth. Surprise.
I’d have asked these questions as well….
briefly describe to young people at home Mr President how legislation becomes law…….(you know House Senate both have similar bills, then conf committee negotiates the differences, then Presidential signature)
And second, do you believe you as President and Congress people alike took an oath to defend and protect the Constitution? Is that happening with Obamacare?

I wonder if Democrats are anticipating riots or velvet demonstrations during the long hot summer of discontent?
#1: Agreed, Bruce. I thought Baier was great. Obama was terrible. He stumbled through the whole thing. He was flustered because he’s not used to a reporter interrupting his usual monologues to reiterate the original question and ask for a direct answer. One of the best moments was when Obama was talking about how transparent the process has been, and Baier pointed out that Obama had just told him minutes earlier that he doesn’t know which of the “legislative goodies” are still in the bill or have been taken out.
Obama knows it was a disaster too. That is clear from his poor attempt to have the last word and put a positive spin on the bill. He used the terrible expression that passing the plan is “the right thing to do,” which even the leftists know is political code for doing the opposite of what constituents want, AND THEN he rambled on about how he knew that some of the things he wanted to do as President wouldn’t be popular, but that the changes are “the right thing to do” and that he would be “vindicated” in the future. So why have the liberals been screaming at us for so long about how wildly popular Obamacare is? Which is it Mr. President? A wildly popular reform that every American desperately wants and needs, but that the GOP is “obstructing”? Or, a horribly unpopular plan that nobody wants and that you’re going to pass anyway because it’s one of those “tough decisions” that you’ll be vindicated for later?
Also, Obama went on and on about how this bill can’t be expected fix all of those “inherited” problems like Medicare insolvency, but that he planned to address that in the future. Of course, that begs the question—with trillions of dollars of unfunded entitlements under Medicare looming, how could it possibly be wise to enact another huge entitlement program now? It was also crystal clear from his repeated, clumsy dodges of the questions about procedure that he doesn’t care how this piece of sh*t gets to his desk or whether its passage complies with the Constitution.
One of the panelists Baier had on his show to discuss the interview made a great point—she said that Baier had put Obama on the defensive in a way that McCain was unable to do even once during the presidential campaign. I completely agree.

Mark Levin’s Landmark Legal Foundation prepares to go to court:
(LEESBURG, VA, MARCH 17, 2010)…Mark R. Levin, president of Landmark Legal Foundation, today issued a warning to the leadership of the U.S. House of Representatives about the possible use of the so-called “deem and pass,” “self-executing,” or “Slaughter Rule” to enact H.R. 3590, the legislative version of President Obama’s healthcare proposal that has been previously approved by the Senate. If this tactic is employed, Landmark will immediately sue the President, Attorney General Eric Holder and other relevant cabinet members to prevent them from instituting this unconstitutional contrivance.
“Landmark has already prepared a lawsuit that will be filed in federal court the moment the House acts. Such a brazen violation of the core functions of Congress simply cannot be ignored. Article I, Section 7 of the Constitution is clear respecting the manner in which a bill becomes law. Members are required to vote on this bill, not claim they did when they didn’t. The Speaker of the House and her lieutenants are temporary custodians of congressional authority. They are not empowered to do permanent violence to our Constitution.”
Americans will never roll over for this abuse of power and shredding of the Constitution.
Kick the rust off your pitchforks people. It’s time to make John Adams and Samuel Adams proud.

Shallow point but who the heck did his makeup?! He was a creamy dark orange and I see that his hair has a little more grey today. Sheesh.
Good on Bret for not forgetting what the original questions were to the Bloviator in Chief!

#7 Gene, if you, as I, were impressed by the upbeat and non-violent march on DC last Sept 12, I think we will both be surprised by the anger we will see next Sept 12 if this crap sandwich is shoved down the people’s throats. We turned out 500 yesterday in Pleasanton at Jerry McNerny’s office (D, CA-11) and hundreds more blowing their horns against Obamacare.

There was one time however, where the president was cornered. It happened when Baier asked Mr Obama to explain the double spending of the magical $500Billion. The president did the usual dodging. He hemmed and hawed. Twisted vowels and mumbled consonants and after some prodding by the reporter and a few “I’m sorry Mr President but”, Mr Obama still managed to bumble the explanation of how he intends to take all that money from Medicare and feed it in to Obamacare to offset it’s cost…. Now get this, at the same time, BHO some how takes the very same $500Billion and slices it, dices it and splices in a way to shore up Medicare.. WOW, I want some of those wondrous dollars. If I was as adept at prestidigitation as Mr Obama I could pay my electric bill and my phone bill with the very same dollars and still fool my partner in to believing I never took a dime outta the bank. How sweet would that be?

Honestly, I can’t see why Andrew Sullivan wants to have his baby. I mean, I can’t see what the appeal or attraction is. He’s not good-looking. His face somehow combines “vacuous” and “pompous” with an edge of narcissistic insanity. When I look at Obama, I feel like I’m watching an escaped asylum inmate, perhaps one of Charles Manson’s lesser followers.

Obama punched, ducked and weaved, but he never got out of the paper bag he showed up in. Baier showed due deference to the Office, which is more than Obama has shown. I had confidence in Baier, but I was pleasantly surprised at his skillful tenacity.

I have heard a lot of White People (my excuse to those of you who are actually Caucasian) use the English language to couch lies in amazingly articulate speech while growing up in the US of A as a Native American. However, President Obama “out Whites, the White People” who have gone before him. He states that he doesnt care about the particulars of how this bill gets passed. Unfortunately, he is supposed to care about the “hows” of any bill getting passed. In his oath of office he is supposed to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States” to the best of his ability. The Paradox of being a Lecturer on Constitutional Law and yet allowing his Party to walk all over it are outlandish. By the way, where the hell is Tano? Could it be that even she cant spin this pile of manure into ice cream?
