ABC News Inflames Race and Gay Baiting In America
Last night David Muir, anchor of World News Saturday, breathlessly opened his broadcast with the fact (according to him) that John Lewis and Barney Frank were attacked verbally by conservative protestors.
ABC News had (and still has) no substantiation of the Lewis and Frank charges. Presumably the ABC News race & gay baiting shrillness rested on this flimsy report in yesterday’s Washington Post (an ABC News partner):
Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) said that he was walking into the Capitol to vote when a protester spat on him. Police quickly responded and detained the protester, Cleaver said in a statement, but the lawmaker declined to press charges.
Others hurled epithets at Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.), a former civil rights leader, and Rep. Andre Carson (D-Ind.) as they left the Capitol after Obama’s speech.
“They were shouting the N-word,” Carson told reporters. “It was like a page out of a time machine.”
Observers also said that Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) was heckled with anti-gay epithets inside the Longworth House Office Building.
“I have heard things today that I have not heard since March 15, 1960, when I was marching to get off the back of the bus,” said House Majority Whip James E. Clyburn (D-S.C.), the highest-ranking black official in Congress.
Who are these “observers”? Isn’t it very, very convenient that Barney Frank — the most well-known gay Congressman — and John Lewis — the most well-known civil rights leader in Congress — were THE Members that happened to be the ones insulted.
Why, pray tell, doesn’t Rep. Cleaver press charges? I WANT to know who this alleged race-baiter was. Aren’t Democrats always whining about “hate crimes”? So come on, Cleaver, press charges. If it was a Tea Party protestor — call them out. I want to know.
This entire weekend has been a bunch of crap and public relations stunts by Democrats that were simply reported, without checking, by the Mainstream Media. ABC News should be ashamed of itself for forwarding these outrageous and completely uncorroborated stories of hate mongering by protestors. They are doing this nation a severe disservice which I believe we will all live to regret.
It is completely disheartening to this American who was raised to think that the media was independent, the Constitution was the law of the land, and that we live in a Republic form of government.
This weekend, our Founding Fathers are rolling in their graves.

Emphasis added. My thoughts exactly. Everything the Democrats do is political theater. But, it may rally their base, including the MSM, but it sure looked staged to me.

Sorry the truth is hurting so much.
You hear the word “ni**er” in a crowd of white people shaking their fists and angrily yelling “kill” and somebody spits on you from the crowd…. And you’re going to stop and go into that crowd to figure out who to press charges against? What sheltered and/or deluded world do you live in? Wake up.

Elephant, you are pathetic. Did you even look at that video? It’s not “the whole event, beginning to end,” not by a longshot. They’ve walked past another crowd as the video begins and they’re still walking through an angry crowd when the video ends. And guess what? There were more than one “event” if you’d bother reading the news. Nevertheless, based on this one video, you’re going to claim that you have all the proof you need and everyone else is a liar. That’s so… right-wing of you. I guess the leader of the Tea Party, the leader of the Republican Party, is apologizing for something that DIDN’T happen?

It cracks me up that every time someone points out what a liar Barney Fwank is, liberals claim ‘homophobia’. Give me a break. In the first place, the term itself suggest ‘fear’ which is absurd. Who in the world is scared of that bloated blowhard of jello? What we are hearing are the last gasps of the Democrat Party as they constantly claim victimhood. Looking at what people who were at the event have stated, the claims are false. This is coming from various sources. One source did mention an arrest, but none of the other sources claimed that they saw anyone arrested.
If someone was arrested for spitting on a pollie, then that person should be named and shamed.
However, I am of the opinion that both Frank and Cleaver are liars. I am also of the opinion that the congress critters walking through the crowd was a deliberate attempt to incite a riot. In other words the lot of them should be up on charges of incitement…. but that will not happen.

Isn’t it obvious?
Not only why are they deliberately walking though the middle of an anti-Democrat protest, but why is it all black Democrats and one white gay guy?
And why are half the black congressmen filming the incident on their phones, yet none of them have released the video that would prove they were called racist names?
The answer to all those questions is because they STAGED this on purpose. They wanted a video of tea-partiers booing black people. They wanted a video to say see, those white people were booing us because we’re black!
When everyone knows the truth that they were booing them because they are communists who just seized control over their very bodies.
There is an excellent comic at Black Republicans showing Abraham Lincoln freeing black people and Barack Obama enslaving them again that really gets to the heart of the matter. So tragic, and so true.

I was really expecting to see much more of the line of ‘having this giant thing rammed down our throats’ here. Guess that one comes to close to home, or a successful Friday night for some here.

Ah yes, the sad depths of partisan hackery. I assume (correct me if I’m wrong however) that the vast majority of people denying this little event occurred on this blog would likely be jumping all over it were the people involved described in any way as “liberal.” And thus, this little episode is just another reason why I make it my goal to continually disassociate myself from either side. On one hand, we have liberals acting like an isolate incident where a possible Conservative yells something repugnant or stupid is a concrete representation of the entire movement. And on the other side, we have Conservatives, like said blogger and some of the commenters, who simply can NOT believe that any of their fellow Conservatives would ever engage in such stupidity and thus, this must be another notch in he belt of the vast liberal Conspiracy. The ideological rigidity of both camps continues to disgust me.
