We are about to leave the hotel and head to Simi Valley to the sacred ground of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.
Tonight, there will be a book-signing and speech by Karl Rove. I’ll be tweeting along at GayPatriot on Twitter.
Hopefully I’ll be able to get some photos posted here as well from the iPhone.
Here’s the view from the hotel lobby as we depart…
I got Rove’s book from the library in the mail yesterday. Due to the length, I’ll probably only read some chapters of interest. Read the first few pages on the chapter about hurricane Katrina and so far, there’s quite a bit that liberals would rather we not know.
Jeru can you ask him for me and so many others what it was he and his BFF Donna Brazille were txting each other about during the primaries…cuz we’d really love to know. And who knows maybe there’s some information there that conservatives would rather not know. There’s one very ugly game been played on a whole lotta people in this country and I for one am not amused.
I like the Reagan library. It’s uplifting!
I was slightly surprised by how much emphasis they gave to how he broke the air controllers’ strike, but in retrospect it probably did help save the U.S. from what goes on in France or Greece all the time.
there’s that word “sacred” again….
I just posted about my fine Senator Ben Nelson and the human consequences that his vote in December has had on events months later.
Thank god we have the writings and speeches of President Reagan to sooth our wounds.
Have a great time.
Kind of like going to Mecca, huh?
What is it about that word that scares you?
From Dictionary.com (in case you’re that stupid):
4.
reverently dedicated to some person, purpose, or object: a morning hour sacred to study.
5.
regarded with reverence: the sacred memory of a dead hero.
If you have any intellectual honesty at all you will ask Rove why deficits now matter.
Of course, I don’t think you do…
Hey, integrity-filled gille. Perhaps we should ask you:
Do deficits matter?
