  1. “WHY DOESN’T THE PRESS care about unemployment?“

Because the president is a Democrat demigod with glistening pecs.

Chris Matthews declared on election night that his job was to help Obama succeed. 90% of the press corps feels likewise.

  5. Where’s the endless reporting on the homelessness situation?

  6. This is the same press that basically ignored the unemployment problems in 2003-2005. The press all have jobs and therefore see no problems. I’m sure there are unemployed reporters but they aren’t being published anywhere.

  7. Obama goes to Buffalo where unemployment is “only”8.8% instead of the national 9.9% and touts his efforts.
The people have up billboards begging for jobs. Trouble is Obama doesn’t know how to ignite the private sector. He’s a communtiy organizer.
A record 40 million now get food stamps. This is the new American normal under the Obama regime. Democrat liberalism. What do you think of it?

  9. When was the last time Obama subjected himself to a real full length press conference? A long long time. Kind of like the soviet politboro. Nice.

  10. This is the same press that basically ignored the unemployment problems in 2003-2005.

Oh bullshit. This is the same press that tried to convince America that we were in a depression for 8 years. Now that the liberals have given us one, they could give a shit less.

Remember how orgasmic they got last week when unemployment went up?

Trouble is Obama doesn’t know how to ignite the private sector. He’s a communtiy organizer.

Doesn’t know or doesn’t want to?

  13. No kidding. When a Republican was in the White House and our unemployment rate was almost half of what it is today – the press was hysterical.

    Gee; I wonder why…………..!

  14. This is the Democrats’ M.O., and has been at least since Franklin Roosevelt. They make things worse and worse, blame it on the Republicans, and as people grow increasingly desperate they step in in their tights and cape with more “progressive” solutions.

How else could FDR take over with a handful of warmed-over ideas from Hoover, stick Hoover with the blame for the Depression, and end up being hailed as the savior of the American system? They actually rooted for things to get as desperate as possible because they intended to dump the blame for it on the GOP.

They got away with it then, why wouldn’t they try to repeat that strategy now?

  15. How can you tell a Democrat is in the White House?

There are NO stories about homelessness in the dinosaur media.

True… but they’re off on the wrong foot.

    1) They bailed out Wall Street. Yes, Bush proposed it to his eternal shame… but the Dems could have cancelled it, and instead, took proud ownership. Roosevelt always was into bailing out America’s corporate-socialist oligarchs, but this they’ve done it blatantly… can’t be hidden.

    2) They’re claiming things are getting better due to their wise leadership… like Kevin Bacon at the end of _Animal House_, screaming “ALL IS WELL!” If the People should believe them now, then… when the roof falls in, as it will, they get the blame.
