Guess Nancy Pelosi Didn’t Get the President’s Memo

And one of the things that I’m trying to break is a pattern in Washington where everybody is always looking for somebody else to blame. And I think Geithner is doing an outstanding job. I think that we have a big mess on our hands. It’s not going to be solved immediately, but it is going to get solved. And the key thing is for everybody just to stay focused on doing the job instead of trying to figure out who you can pass blame on to.

President Barack Obama, The Tonight Show, March 2009.

Meanwhile, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi does what Democrats do best–at least since 12/12/00:

From Talk Radio News Service:

“Many of the people appointed in the Bush administration are still burrowed in the agencies that are supposed to oversee the [oil] industry,” Pelosi said when asked if Democrats could have prevented or mitigated the crisis by keeping a closer watch on the industry.

Added the Speaker, “the cozy relationships between the Bush administration’s agency leadership and the industry is clear…I’ve heard no complaints from my members about the way the president has handled it,” Pelosi stated.

On Friday, and again today, the Washington Examiner requested the names of the Bush appointees that Pelosi believes failed in their responsibility as overseers of this industry.  Once again, no names released. We have left another message and will continue following this story.

Joel S. Gehrke, Jr. Washington Examiner, June 1, 2010.

UPDATE:  This isn’t the first time Nancy’s been blaming W for the oil spill:

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., blamed the Bush administration for any lack of oversight leading up to the Gulf oil spill. The Obama administration, on the other hand, is blameless.

  1. That isn’t even the craziest thing that the lying Pelosi said.

They ask me all the time, ‘What is your favorite this? What is your favorite that? What is your favorite that?’ And one time, ‘What is your favorite word?’ And I said, ‘My favorite word? That is really easy. My favorite word is the Word, is the Word. And that is everything. It says it all for us. And you know the biblical reference, you know the Gospel reference of the Word.

And that Word is, we have to give voice to what that means in terms of public policy that would be in keeping with the values of the Word. The Word. Isn’t it a beautiful word when you think of it? It just covers everything. The Word.

Again. Nancy Pelosi is stating that we have to make public policy that is in keeping with the values of the Christian Bible.

Now, if this were Sarah Palin, Tano, Serenity, Countervail, Levi, torrentprime, and everyone else would be shrieking their heads off about separation of church and state, theocracy, the American Taliban, and how this proves Sarah Palin is unfit to govern.

    Since it’s Pelosi? Crickets.

  2. And this just in:
GWB trapped, skinned, cooked and ate the Easter Bunny.
GWB partially cut the reins on Santa’s sleigh, leading to his horrible death and disfigurement.
GWB pulled the wings off the Tooth Fairy.
GWB trains chupacabras to snatch the infants of Mexican illegals and he sells them to the Saudis as domestic servants.
    Oh, and…
    Cheney shot down the Hindenberg.

  3. If you get away from the liberal “news” coverage of Deepwater Horizon, it sounds more and more like a “shit happens” event. There’s not a damn thing the feds could have done to prevent it even if the messiah had been on the platform.

Pelosi is just the worst sort of lying POS for making those comments and she’s hoping like hell that enough people are stupid enough to believe it.

  9. Your site was shared on the Tea Party Patriots site. Just wanted to let you all know that while there are people in the Tea Party movement that are very religious and hold some extreme prejudice against Gays, it is my hope and prayer that we all join to save our country. One member of the TPP who is friend of mine is Gay. He came out of the closet as it were to share that while the mainstream will label us as homophobes, Michael had the courage to test that theory. Now Michael knows me to be an honest person, so I will not claim he was received openly by all, but I can say that by a wide margin he was dealt with as a patriot. After all, does sexual preference really have anything to do with faith in our country? No more than race, creed, gender, or religion. As a straight man I have taken the time to dismiss the idea of needing to accept a person for being Gay. Truly, what is there to accept. Who am I to judge or take some nobler than thou position and offer some condescending ” I accept you BS. ” That’s for the Progressive PC idiots. I do not need to know your sexual preference. None of my business. All I need to know is will you stand with us to fight for your country. And just so you understand who I am, I do not agree with all aspects of the Gay agenda. I hope you can find the value in my being upfront and honest here. We as individuals will never agree on all the issues that face us. But we can all agree that our country is under attack, and if you see that and acknowledge that fact then you are my brother.

  10. I tried to leave a comment in support of this site. I am a member of the Tea Party Patriots. You site was shared there. I will be totally honest in saying that not every Tea Party member is supportive of the Gay lifestyle, but almost all feel that lifestyle is not a prime concern nor should it be. The bottom line is that race, creed, religion, gender, or sexual preference is not a condition that either qualifies nor negates a person from the ranks of the Patriot. I would consider it an honor to call you my brother and sister in our fight to save this great nation of ours.
