Political Gifts Can Only Briefly Make Up For Executive Ineptitude

June 22, 2010 by B. Daniel Blatt

In many ways, the Administration’s reaction to Rep. Joe Barton’s (R-TX) shakedown comment says more about the Obama team’s modus operandi than anything else officials have said or done in the past month.  They would rather focus on developing a political response than on formulating an appropriate executive solution.

Let us hope then that rumors are true of White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel’s imminent departure.  It could not come soon enough.  He is a political operative extraordinaire.  His expertise is the down and dirty of electoral politic, not the nuts and bolts of executive administration.

Emanuel and his team delight in such “political gifts” which they hope will make up for their absence of administrative accomplishment.

Barton walked into the Alinsky playbook and got the full treatment.

Rahm Emanuel is a bad actor, but he is only one of the legion that occupies the executive branch. If he leaves, he will be another Podesta who will continue to bore holes in the ship of state, but without the mask of accountability.

I am beginning to believe that GayPatriots and Republicans in general do not understand the scope of what the Obamanauts are doing.

It does not matter if they are “unorganized” and you can not outline a clear conspiracy. The fact is, they are “true believers” and they act illegally, amorally and with determination to “fundamentally transform” America into a state dominated society where redistribution of everything and anything is the game plan. Call it by any name you like, but that is the program. And they are stumble-bumble succeeding because too many people can not believe what is happening.

The TEA Party movement gets it.

No story on the Texas GOP approved platform?

No comment on the topic of the thread?

    I thought not, genius.

James: It would seem that Bill White, running as the liberal for Governor of Texas, opposes soldiers stationed overseas getting to vote. Using liberal logic, that must mean that ALL liberals are opposed. Given how Algore tried to throw those votes out in Florida, I think we can conclude that this is true.
