In the aftermath of the president’s decision to oust General Stanley McChyrstal as Commander in Afghanistan and replace him with David Petraeus, he has received praise in the media — and even kudos from conservatives.
Had Obama’s predecessor similarly replaced a military commander, I dare say we would have seen a different reaction.
Really, you’re asking for consistency from the left, Really!
Well the media seemed happy when Bush finally replaced Rumsfeld as defense secretary, so its debatable.
Funny, back in 2007 when Petraeus was reporting on The Surge, the Democrats and the media hated him. Now, he’s their hero. It would be interesting to go back and see what our trolls were saying about Petraeus in 2007.
This is my take. McCrystal (D)was Obamas hand picked guy for the war in Afghanistan. Pertius is our nations current military hero having successfully brought the war in Iraq to a close. While some like Biden (D) wanted to split Iraq into four religious parts, and Obama (D) and Reid (D) thought the Iraqi war “was lost” . Petrius (R)and Bush (R)stuck with the surge.
Now Obama in a pickle had to fire his General McCrystal (D)for insubordination. He has had to beg The Bush General to pull his stones out of the fire. I wish him God s Speed. For the sake of our fighting men and women, if we don’t have a competent commander in chief at least we can have a competent theatre commander.
The liberal media is turning on our young President….
