Breitbart: Video Reveals NAACP Racism Against Whites

Whoa baby. When Breitbart is on fire… he is ON FIRE!

We are in possession of a video from in which Shirley Sherrod, USDA Georgia Director of Rural Development, speaks at the NAACP Freedom Fund dinner in Georgia. In her meandering speech to what appears to be an all-black audience, this federally appointed executive bureaucrat lays out in stark detail, that her federal duties are managed through the prism of race and class distinctions.

In the first video, Sherrod describes how she racially discriminates against a white farmer. She describes how she is torn over how much she will choose to help him. And, she admits that she doesn’t do everything she can for him, because he is white. Eventually, her basic humanity informs that this white man is poor and needs help. But she decides that he should get help from “one of his own kind”. She refers him to a white lawyer.

Sherrod’s racist tale is received by the NAACP audience with nodding approval and murmurs of recognition and agreement. Hardly the behavior of the group now holding itself up as the supreme judge of another groups’ racial tolerance.

I love Andrew because he, like me, hates hypocrisy and has a nose to find it.  Sniff away, Breitbart!

  4. What I find so interesting is just how many racist white folk have been turning out to hear the black guys talk… yeap that’s racism all right!
Am loving Lt. Col. Allen West.

Also, don’t know if you saw from Bachman that the House has approved the TEA Party Caucus… yep here again, the TEA Party is diminishing in it’s power… the left is getting very very nervous.

racism and hatred= job security for jessie, al and the naacp… can you imagine what would happen if everyone actually stopped listening to them and really started to hear just what the TEA Party folks are saying.

  5. We all know that black people aren´t racists. They´re just bonding together for mutual support for the insecurity of 400 years of slavery. The fact that the Emancipation Proclamation was made by a Republican President Abe Lincoln, doesn´t count. The fact that a Republican President, Dwight Eisenhower sent the National Guard to integrate Little Rock´s Central High, while a Democrat Governor Orville Faubas tried to impede the students entrance, that doesn´t count. The fact that southern Republicans spearheaded voting rights for blacks. that doesn´t count. Weren´t the southern Democrats proslavery and segregationalists? The Republicans took them off the plantation while the Democrats enslaved them again. This time n ghettoes with incentives (socila programs) and they like the gay left rewards them with their loyalty and votes. Slowly but surely they are coming home to their roots, the Republican Party.

During the 2008 campaign when Barak Obama spoke to the NAACP he asked, ¨Am I black enough for you?¨ I thought that was an origianl line until I recently bought a dvd of Cotton Comes to Harlem with Godfrey Cambridge, that line was used at least a half a dozen times. Is there any original about that man?

  9. Where’s the rest of the video? Because it sounded like she was just about to say a revelatory statement that she had come to the conclusion that it’s about poor vs. rich not black vs. white.

After the creative editing on the ACORN videos, attempting to make them insidious through judicious cuts, I don’t believe anything from Breitbart. I want to see the whole video.

    Bingo, TGC!

And with that, you have shown how racist Counterveil and his liberal Obama Party fellows are.

If it’s condemning white people, they support any snippet, with or without context, even if they make it up themselves — as we saw with the fake Rush Limbaugh quotes.

But if a black person is caught on video, making obviously-racist statements to an audience of Obama Party racists and supporters, they insist that the tape must be fake, that the evidence is wrong, etc.

Counterveil holds different standards based on skin color. That makes him a racist. Counterveil is a racist.

  14. This is embarassing. As someone who is black, I can attest to racism among blacks. It’s this victim mentality that really behind it. Since blacks are always used as social experiments for leftists, they swallow this nonsense whole. What makes this so maddening, is what makes her any different than the racists who who fire hoses to keep blacks from voting? Or, throwing food on individuals who protested segregation at lunch counters? This woman is cut from the same cloth. Everyone take a good look at this woman, these are the kinds of bureaucrats we may face in the future.

  16. This black woman was feeding the “you right, sister” chorus she was chatting up. She was feeling their pain and feeding their biases. She was walking the walk and talking the talk. She was doing a full blown Clinton on them.

She was Hillary quoting black poetry without the comic accent for good measure. She was just being a good old boy doing cracker talk.

So, does that mean she gets a free pass when a good old boy doing cracker talk, like Trent Lott, gets tar and feathers and the rail?

We have either risen above such stuff in our race blind government relations or we are telling blacks that it is your turn to corrupt justice.

She resigned. Good for her. Even if the evidence were to prove that she gave “C” effort to the white farmer, she is still on record talking trash with her homies.

  17. As I guessed, there is more to the story than the select, salacious clip Brietbart chose to publish. She’s relating a story about an incident over 24 years ago when she worked for a charity organization, not in any way like her current position. That being said though, the story continues after the clip where she explains that she realized that it wasn’t about race but rather “the haves and the have nots.” She then talks about how she then made an emergency effort on behalf of the white farmer and they became friends from the experience. I’m waiting for the full transcript but does it bother any of you that you jump to conclusions from a 10 second video clip of a prominent political appointee posted by a blogger who’s notorious for how he twists video through the editing process to have you jump to the wrong conclusion?

  18. No more than it bothers you about the NAACP condemning Americans for non-existant racial slurs, nor about the current administration targeting Americans for assassination, Countervail.

    Comment by The_Livewire — July 20, 2010 @ 10:15 am - July 20, 2010

  19. Oh, and listening to your link, it’s her claiming that’s the case Countervail. If it really was, then where’s the rest of the video as someone demanded?

Come on Countervail? Why should we believe a woman with a demonstrated history of discrimination, who resigned from her position, based on her history?

    Comment by The_Livewire — July 20, 2010 @ 10:19 am - July 20, 2010

  20. Countervail,

My comment #16 speaks to how this woman cuddled up to her homies.

Let’s give her the credit you seek and say she was there to open minds. If she has to do that by getting the “Amen” corner to bobble their heads and mutter their chorus of agreement, she is playing a role by going native. Either the audience is beyond race enough to take straight talk or they need to be cooed to like sheep.

As I read you, Countervail, these are ignorant people who need to be stroked in their bigotry and frustrations. So, Shirley Sherrod came down from the big house to talk to the field negroes.

    Comment by heliotrope — July 20, 2010 @ 11:06 am - July 20, 2010

  21. And thus does the racist bigot inadvertently make his bigotry obvious.

I’m waiting for the full transcript but does it bother any of you that you jump to conclusions from a 10 second video clip of a prominent political appointee posted by a blogger who’s notorious for how he twists video through the editing process to have you jump to the wrong conclusion?

So even though Countervail admits he does not have the full transcript, he states automatically that Breitbart is lying and that this black Obama Party puppet is not a racist.

Meanwhile, that’s a lot more than ten seconds. Apparently the racist bigot Countervail can’t keep time, either.

Anything to defend the racists, eh Countervail? Doesn’t it bother you that your racist hatred and self-loathing lead you to make a fool out of yourself publicly by supporting racists like this woman and her fellow Obama Party members?

  23. Lol, another swing and a miss by Breitbart, and the conservatives movement that inexplicably loves him can do nothing but continue to sing his praises and pretend like any point he was trying to make was still valid.

Here it is, morons; Breitbart was implying through deliberate distortion of the videotape that this woman was using her current position in the government to discriminate against white people…… and that is in no way true whatsoever. She was telling a story about an incident that occurred decades earlier when she was working for an advocacy group. The point of her story (not aired by Breitbart) was to demonstrate that race doesn’t matter as much as poverty.

There really wasn’t much to be said about your sides’ intellectual honesty or credibility before this incident, but you guys just keep doubling down, seemingly intent on making sure that no sane or reasonably intelligent person will ever take anything that conservative says seriously again. Breitbart has already suffered a number of humiliations and he just keeps fooling you? Sounds like you want to be fooled to me, just so long as you can accuse the black President of being a racist!

    Comment by Levi — July 20, 2010 @ 7:25 pm - July 20, 2010

  24. She was telling a story about an incident that occurred decades earlier when she was working for an advocacy group.

In which she displayed clearly racist behavior, and was in fact relating that fact with relish to the NAACP group, who acknowledged and applauded her racist behavior.

So what you’re doing, Levi, is defending and supporting her racist behavior. You support and endorse people who are admittedly racist and have behaved in a racist manner holding government office.

Funny, you usually have shrieking fits about how racist behavior makes one unfit for government office. Yet here you are supporting and endorsing someone whose behavior you admit is racist and who is bragging about that racist behavior to a group that supports her racism.

So you support racism, Levi. You support racists, and you support racist behavior. No surprise whatsoever.

I’m glad something kinda changed her mind, I hope. Enough with the race stuff, now we know the nomedia made it up in the last two years!

  29. And by the way, she was apparently at the receiving end of racial discrimination herself.

So let’s see; an avowed racist who practices and endorses racial discrimination is discriminated against on the basis of race.

And of course, Countervail endorses her racist views and racist behavior, because Countervail is also a racist.

  30. Thanks for the link to the full video, Countervail — I watched from the beginning through the 24-minute mark — and it’s abundantly clear that the point of the story is to illustrate how, when she was about 20 years younger, God led her AWAY from racial favoritism towards her fellow blacks.

    Comment by Throbert McGee — July 21, 2010 @ 1:18 am - July 21, 2010

If the audience she’s speaking to could be led to even that point, it might be progress.

  34. it is inappropriate to swing the racial prejudice from one side to another. whites are often discriminated and prejudiced against. most people have faced some form of discrimination in their lives, the whole point in eradicating prejudice is not to shift it onto another group, but to erase any and all stereotypes. It is unfair to assume pride in any race is a form of racism, including the white community, their has been huge reported cases of black on black crime due to prejudice, white on white crime due to prejudice, it is all about changing perspective and not making excuses for discrimination, the past is the past people, lets move forward. yes your ancestors may have been enslaved, most groups were, and often time they were caught and sold by their own race to remove a neighboring group they hated as spoils of civil turmoil.
we have all established here great viewpoints of how racsim effects both blacks, whites, muslims and so on. but why make any excuses? have we not learned from history, or is it because most of us are still looking for reparations for our ancestors? if you want to do them justice, have PRIDE in FREEDOM and HUMANITY, regardless of your skin color!! have an open mind and stop holding grudges. lets grow from the blood spilled not by ourselves but by our ancestors. we do them a great injustice serving to further their pain by accommodating race versus freedom!!
and when it comes to lawmakers and the such, its money, not color that wins, lets fight the injustices of race being thrown in our faces!!
