This is why We, The People are now armed with questions and video cameras to confront our elected officials.
Outrageous.

I’m glad the American people are waking up. For too long, we’ve enjoyed the freedom to live out lives without European governmental intrusion into our lives. Which is how we ended up with a Congress that looks like it does.
Pete Stark, Brad Sherman, all those other dufuses that are ruining our lives.
Thanks for sharing the video, the only way we get real news nowadays is citizens recording and sharing the info,

Well what’s worse, his ignorance of the Constitution or the smug and patronizing attitude he takes at the end?

The concepts of “public servant” and “civil servant” have been twisted beyond any recognition today. Time for term-limits and voting the incumbents out. Even at the cost of losing your own state or district to the opposition for a term or two. Saying “…They’re all crooks but mine”, just doesn’t cut-it anymore.
Senators; 3-terms max. (18 years)
Congressional Rep.; 6-terms (12 years)
The presidency is already limited to 2 terms (8-yrs.)
Even though his answer was vile, I’ll at least give him credit for taking the question and responding to it instead of trying to run away and hiding like most of the other politicians in similar town hall settings.

Peter Stark is a corrupt legislature who needs to fired ASAP. He’s smug, arrogant, condescending, believes he’s God’s gift to politics…
Between the corrupt Charlie Rangel, Maxine Waters, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, Peter Stark is simply an corrupt Democrat who has been in office too long.

When rules don’t apply to you. Your moral clarity intensifies. You have the answer to ALL of life’s problems, real or imagined. Robespierre would be awfully proud of Fortney.
People sure are waking up across this country…. and part of this nationwide epiphany can be attributed to the hard decisions being made by the tougher conservative leaders being elected to office…… people like Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey.
Anyone who can’t see the writing on the wall is only fooling themselves. The tide is undeniably changing when die hard pro-Obama supporters like Jonathan Capehart of the Washington Post say, “I have to give a high-five to Gov. Chris Christie. The New Jersey Republican was on “Morning Joe” today and showed why he is not only a rising star within the GOP, but also a model of leadership for politicians who have lost touch with their spines.”
Christie was also quoted in the same article as saying:
“This teacher complaining, they’re getting 4 and 5 percent salary increases a year. In a 0 percent inflation world. They get free health benefits from the day they’re hired for their entire family until the day they die. They believe they are entitled to this shelter from the recession when the people who are paying for that shelter are the people who have been laid off, who’ve lost their homes, had their hours cut back. And all we ask them to do is freeze their salary for one year and pay 1.5 percent of their salary for their health benefits…. As much as I love teachers, everyone’s gotta be a part of the sacrifice.”
Ya know what’s funny here, last time around(circa 2008)the braggadocious left heralded the internet and the advantage it gave them reaching voters. What they have mistakenly ignored this time around, is how the right, in an effort to surpass democrats…. has perfected sending smoke signals too.

Pete Stark is the face of the Democrat party.
They have gone so far to the left and are so invested in Constitutional Relativism that they dare not even glance toward the center.
The first term Democrat in my district won by a paper thin 774 votes. He has no options. The SEIU is spraying advertising in the district with a fire hose. The poor child is wholly owned by the Obama administration and dare not think a thought of his own or pay any heed to the district. However, he wants to be a part of the ruling class, so he will say and do what he is told to say and do.
Pete Stark is a puppet for his ideology and he will lie, distort and belittle for the cause. All satraps are the same. Pontius Pilate was the perfect territorial governor and he protected the emperor with deft skill. The people be damned.
Don’t damn Pete Stark. The voters are the source of the problem.

Not just the Federal gov’t.
So can a sleazy alderman from Chicago do whatever he wants. He can attack you physically, tell you to, “Get the f**k outta [his] office,” and send you off with a “G-d bless you,” to boot!
That’s exactly what 22nd Ward Alderman, Ricardo Munoz, did in early 2009 to a constituent who tried to deliver a petition to Munoz at the 22nd Ward office.
Any disagreement with the distinguished gentleman from California, TorrentPrime, Serenity, gillie, or rusty?

That’s exactly what 22nd Ward Alderman, Ricardo Munoz, did in early 2009 to a constituent who tried to deliver a petition to Munoz at the 22nd Ward office.
For what it’s worth, Alderman Munoz disclosed yesterday that he is an alcoholic, and that he’s hit bottom during the past few months.
I’m fan of any part of Daley’s Machine and Chicago politicians (as many regulars here can attest to), but I’m inclined to give this guy some slack, provided he does what he now claims he must do in order to achieve and maintain his sobriety.

The world needs a Pol Pot, Mao, Idi Amin, Jim Jones, Jeffrey Dahmer, Bernie Madoff, Joy Behar, Daley Machine every now and then just so we can look across the divide and see what depravity looks like.
We have people who will go to the polls and enthusiastically vote for smoke and mirrors and styrofoam aches and hope and change and fundamental transformation and kittens and puppy dogs and hot lunches for orphans and lemonade springs.
These people need a dose of reality upside the head every now and then. Like Katrina.
There are informed citizens who do stuff like pay the taxes and take responsibility. They need to see what the thumbsuckers will allow to happen among them.
So, political corruption as an art form is worth having around as a warning to complacent taxpayers.
We all knew about Chicago politics. We watched the Democrats unleash Daley on the 2000 election in Florida. We have watched Illinois dig up dead governors and send them to prison to keep company with the living ex-governors. Geez-O-Pete, Illinois fielded Lincoln and then turned over and went permanently to the dark side. They should move the capitol to East St. Louis.
Never underestimate the power of a bad example.

Amen, amen, amen. Anyone else remember the footage of Daley and his dad, “Da Mare” at the 1968 Democrat Convention??? What we’re seeing now in teh iWon’s administration first seemed to show itself there, did it not?
This is what makes the Obama Party and Barack Obama hilarious. One minute they’re insisting that the Federal government’s power is unlimited, and the next they’re whining that it has no power to arrest, detain, deport, or prevent from holding jobs illegal aliens.
