In response to public outcry because of the inflated salaries of public officials in Bell, California, “one of the poorest municipalities in Los Angeles County“, California’s Controller John Chiang has promised to “to start reporting the salaries of elected officials and public employees.”
He plans to post the information immediately on his website in November.
Wonder why he’s waiting until November?

I dunno. I can see posting the salaries of elected officials and what not, but I don’t think the salaries of the Proles should be posted. A friend of mine is an HPD officer and Houston went to this a few years ago. Whether or not it’s caused him any problems, I don’t know. I just don’t see that it’s anybody’s damn business what unelected civil servants make.
For the same reason Democrats refuse to write a budget….because they dont want voters to KNOW how monumentally irresponsible they have been.
