Loved how the Fiorina campaign reported Mrs. Boxer’s tour of the state she represents in Washington:
Despite this, Barbara Boxer continues to parade around the state trumpeting the ‘success’ of the stimulus and champion more doomed spending and big-government bailouts for which taxpayers will have to foot the bill. It’s clear that, after more than three decades in politics, Barbara Boxer has lost touch with the real world and how it works. She isn’t interested in what truly drives job growth and economic strength – only what drives the government growth and special interest greed that powers her career and her friends in Washington.
Emphasis added.
I see a small, well-dressed woman walking down an nearly-empty street, followed by a fancy flout with a loud-speakieer blaring that the storefronts really aren’t empty and that those “For Lease” and “Available” signs we see all over Los Angeles, well, just don’t mean a thing.
Hey, Ma’am, I got a question for you: if the “stimulus” really is creating jobs in California, how come unemployment here is near record highs — and has gone up not down since you voted for the several hundred billion dollar boondoggle?
If Mr. Senator Ma’am Boxer were an honest politician (oxymoron?), she would be talking about the private companies leaving California weekly. However, she would rather settle for ObamaLand fantasy with Porkulus jobs. This is a non-starter for real people. I’m sure she can inspire all the imaginary people such as the Smurfs, Gargamel, the Snorks, & Cousin Pookie.
Why all the store fronts with “For Lease” and “Available” signs in the windows? Why aren’t the People’s Communes coming in and setting up eco-friendly food exchanges and recycled clothing shops? They could have the homeless ride bicycle generators to light the places if customers happen to drop in.
Heck, they could tax the rich to pay customers to shop in government certified recovery shops. Prime those pumps and let a thousand billion government supplied pennies trickle up.
I hate it when conservatives stay home and don’t shop just because they are out of work and scared stiff of the future. Can’t California just unionize all their citizens and give them a high standard of living?
Maybe Boxer could explain how thousands of dollars of stimilus money to figure out how a monkey acts under the influence of cocaine creates jobs, unless of course maybe they in need of lots of partial birth abortion?!
