Thank you, Obama and Congressional Democrats!
Since ObamaCare passed, my health insurance carrier just raised my premium by over 25%.
That’s hope and change for ya!

You ain’t seen nothing yet.
The government is cutting its payments and forcing the insurance industry to raise the rates. Before long, medicine will be delivered at the government payment levels. You will get what the government pays for and what what the employees will deliver for the money.
If malpractice awards were capped as they are in Texas, it would be possible to grow a boutique medical business that would support the cash trade and eventually even a form of health insurance. But there is little to no chance that malpractice awards will be capped nationwide.

This is why ObamaCare will be one of the main issues for the midterm elections; however, the Democrats are on the wrong side with the electorate. Obama believes he can talk about ObamaCare & demonize insurance companies when most people know the real source for the spike in insurance rates is ObamaCare itself.

Bill O’Reilly announced last week the health insurance coverage he has for himself and the other 3 members of his family just went up over $2,500 a year. He must have done a third of his show that night on all the additional costs that are headed our way soon thanks to Obamacre….. and thats just the ones people are aware of so far.

Helio,
such businesses already exist. For those able to pay cash, we’re able to deliver services cheaper than companies that deliver the same service but bill insurance companies, and at roughly half the price of companies that bill Medicare/Medicaid… (and using this as a selling point, it gives a chance to educate health-care consumers, too!)

We just got group plan’s 19% increase. I asked the folks we have the plan with how much of the increase was due to Obamacare provisions, and was told that about half the increase was from those. These new provisions are the little ones….dependent care to age 26, no lifetime limit on coverage, mental health on par, etc. I can’t wait until the big ones kick it!

My HealthNet coverage just went up 12% …and I’m covered under a California HIPAA plan.
My monthly premium is now $785.

Think of all the money that could have been used to hire unemployed workers that will now be sucked into the insatiable maw of ObamaCare, because obviously the Obamacrats didn’t.

That was the plan, Dan!
After all, the American people wont “cry out for a public option” as Nancy Pelosi said, if their costs go DOWN.
You, and I, and everyone else must be made to suffer until we beg Democrats to save us.

I have a 3 week old baby. Back in February, I priced out an individual policy for him (since adding him to my small group plan at work would cost me $360/month)….
Back in February, several carriers gave me quotes to start a policy for a newborn…the average cost/month was around $111 for a plan that had a $250 deductible.
Fast forward to today– baby is born and I’m now ready to apply for that individual policy for him. Nope. Turns out that b/c of Obamacare, plans aren’t writing for individual policies for newborns anymore (since beginning on 9/23, they have to cover kids regardless of preexisting).
They’re not writing for individual policies until after the baby is 2 months old.
So, for the first two months, I have to pay $360/month to add the baby to my high deductible plan at work ($2,500 individual deductible).
Thank you Obamacare.
More affordable coverage? Nope.
Better access to healthcare services? Nope.
Ridicidulous.

It gets worse, Jessica.
Avastin may be pulled by the FDA.
That’s ok, women were going to die of breast cancer anyway…

#4 Jax Dancer,
Just think what boutique medicine could charge if they had malpractice insurance that was based on a million dollar max. (Pick a number.) I carry a ten million dollar liability rider on my business for under $200 a year and I could shop that down. I don’t work on human bodies, but the fact remains that individual and group medical malpractice insurance is ginormous and getting worse. What John Edwards did to the whole fetus to birth medical scene is obscene.

When did healthcare become a political issue? It’s a human issue, America is the wealthiest nation in the world yet we have people who die because they don’t have insurance. That’s pretty sad, something you expect would happen in third world countries. It’s the Republican’s fault, if we had the public option this wouldn’t have happened.

Yeah, you’re right, Anonymous. If we had the public option a lot more people would die because (take your pick): 1). they received substandard care, 2). they were denied care because of their age or other personal characteristics and/or the expense of the treatment (avastin comes to mind today), 3). they had a condition that could have been treated quickly and easily if caught early, but due to delays and shortages (as in Massachusetts), they couldn’t get an appointment for several months. Is it necessary to go on?

Why does Anon want women to die?
