  1. Pathetic!! The left gets away with this kind of vitriol. How many of those idiots publicly wisned for or called for the death of W, & VP Cheney. Protected speech? There are limits. You can´t scream fire in a crowded theatre if there is no fire. Cusack has crossed the line. Iy is hate speech and he should be punished for it.

  3. Who pays attention to the political views of actors and celebrities? I want them to entertain me on screen, not “educate” off of it.

  6. John Cusack has just proven himself to be nothing more than a “shart” on the jockey shorts of life.

What’s a shart? Watch this scene from Along Came Polly:

  8. I’m sorry, but I read his tweet completely differently. It specifically says a satanic death cult center at Fox News HQ. (emphasis mine) That is not the same as calling for the satanic death of anyone.

In other words, he’s calling for the equivalent of the Ground Zero Mosque. (Which is probably a death cult too. Although not satanic. But maybe. :-)).

That being said, I second Church Mouse.

  9. Let me add what I meant to include: doesn’t make the sentiment any less objectionable. It’s still absurd that this is considered acceptable behavior.

  11. He shouldn’t write his own scripts; this is why he’s an actor. He reads someone else’s scripts & repeats them. Obviously, he could be a little more original with some obscure references such as referring to the Devil as Mr. Evans returns. Cusack needs to go back to shilling for himself. Is he really that desperate? I suppose he’ll say anything.

  12. Oh God he is turning out to be Sean Penn II.

  13. Sean Penn doesn´t hate conservatives. He hates America. that´s why he plays kissy face with Hugo Chavez.

  14. OT:

I would love to have a journalist ask some anti-war pothead such as Jane Fonda this question: “Since you love Communism so much, who would you sleep with & why: Kim Jong Il, Fidel Castro, or Joseph Stalin?” Put these freaks on the spot & watch them completely lose their temper with the outrageous question.

  15. In saner cultures, actors –whose sole talent consists in making believe they are someone they are not– were considered to be the social equals of prostitutes. Their political opinions were not consulted. A lot of these actors have shown real talent, however, in getting us to believe they are something other than…actors.

  16. Thanks for clarifying, Neptune. 🙂

Pamela, I half-agree. Only difference is that Sean Penn can actually act.
