Are we just glad that a RINO was smashed? Or is O’Donnell a good candidate, one that, win or lose, will help the cause of small government?

Ace makes the case that even if it means losing a senate seat, purging the establishment is a net good.

    1) This sends a clear message to the Republican party that they should not back RINOs for election races. Period.

    2) Any Republican who wants a future in politics is going to have to move right.

    3) We are now one cycle closer to getting rid of Lindsay Graham in 2014

    PS, Love the drawring.

    Meh.

I don’t think O’Donnell is an exceptionally good candidate. If she wins, she’ll be good enough, but so be it.

The major message I think being sent in this case is that the Republican establishment had better start paying attention. Sarjex nailed it — this is the third time the tea party and conservatives have removed candidates who a) thought they were entitled to the seat and b) were way out of synch with what their constituencies were wanting.

Third time’s a charm. And the RNC/NRSC need to grab this and start pointing out that the Obama Party is a) running away from the legislation they pushed, they passed, and that they own, and b) insisting that they’re the more responsible party when they won’t take responsibility for anything.

    Awww, poor rhino! 🙁

Couldn’t we just put them out to pasture instead?
